for confirmation, i just called apple saying i bought iPhone 8 from apple store SG and now got problem. can i sent it at malaysia? she asked for imei number for call report purposes before asking my model no (the short one). then she said no problem i can send here in MY.
then i just asked what's the actual policy, she said actually now apple has international warranty for country that has apple store. for country like malaysia, the authorised service center will send the phones to SG if let say the parts is not available in malaysia. However, normally for SG set shouldnt be a problem because SG and MY always share the same parts.
i think if the warranty is denied, the culprit might be machines or these 3rd party authorised sc. we should always consult apple and ask them to step in if the sc refuse the warranty claims.

Get a GST claim to compensate the price different, make sure you don't buy online at Apple Store 1st if you intend to claim GST. From my CC chargers, it cost me >RM6k for 256GB. So MYS cheaper in this case
Ya, or I could just get it directly from Changi with GST exemption. Let’s see.

Exactly. We've been made to think that Apple doesn't provide International Warranty when in actual fact, its just the third party service providers (Machines, Mac City, etc) who are refusing to entertain us. I could easily claim warranty for my iPhone bought in Malaysia in foreign countries (i.e. US, UK, SG). It's just in Malaysia where the problem arises due to the unavailability of an official physical Apple Store.
Hope that the dissatisfaction over these 3rd parties AD growth stronger and trigger Apple decide to take back their authorization. Then they will open a Apple Store in Malaysia.
But I think that the chances of Apple Store in Malaysia is nearly impossible, as all the Apple Store have 1 thing in common (my 2 cents of thought), which i refuse to share & may trigger some sensitive arguement

true, but can be the 3rd party authorized SC has different policies than apple. normally they have different level of partnership in which some levels dont have to follow 100% the policies set by the principle. i dunno. but as long as people know they can contact apple careline in case of any issue, perhaps these 3rd party SC can assist sending the overseas set to SG.
last time i bought imac from apple my online store, they still need to send it to SG when i sent it for broken hinge. i guess our local SC has very limited parts thus they 'prefer' to reject warranty claim at the first request.

Too lazy to read the article just yet but in summary, besides the front selfie Portrait Lighting effects, anything else different compared to the 8 Plus?

The X's front facing camera has "TrueDepth" which includes an infrared camera, sensors and light projectors capable of perceiving depth.
-Wide lens is f/1.8 on both, with optical image stabilization (OIS)
-Telephoto lens is slightly faster on the X (f/2.4 vs. f/2.8)
-Telephoto lens has OIS on the X only
In short, meaning that you can start putting up your 8 + for sale now.
