Guys, i am totally disappointed with Ambank Customer Service as they are providing me with contradicting answers.

First, may i ask you guys here (Ambank True Visa Creditcard owner), your 3% cash rebate is based on statement date? or is it based on 1st day to end of the month??

I have been told previously the cash rebate is calculated from 1st to 31st of the month (for eg: 1st may until 31st of may), but just now when i call again on a dispute on my cash rebate received this month, they told me otherwise.

I am really unhappy with their unprofessional-ism (mainly due to the contradicting answers i got) as i deem they do not show consistency especially in answering questions from customer.

p/s i never had such problem with any other banks

First of all, i am using the Ambank True Visa credit card which gives 3% cashback for online transactions.

I have received an update from Ambank confirming that the cash rebate for this particular card will be calculated as per 1st day of the calendar month until the end of that aforementioned calendar month. For eg: if you spent online on the following:

1) RM 30 on 29 April (suppose to get this on last month cash rebate)
2) RM 50 on 1 May (entitle for this month cash rebate)
3) RM 40 on 30 May (entitle for this month cash rebate)
4) RM 100 on 1 June (entitle for next month cash rebate)

My dispute arise when the cash rebate amount i received on my May 2018 statement (which i received on 20 June 2018) is showing that i earn the rebate up until my last statement date, as opposed to from 1st May until 31 of May.

After almost an hour of complaints, explanation, waiting, clarification, arguments and bla bla bla, the agent named Aideel apologised to me for telling the wrong info (which is the cash rebate shall follow statement cycle).

However, he will follow up on the wrong cash rebate amount and will update me again.

I shall keep you all informed once i got any confirmation from him.

Thanks for spending time writing. During my call with cs, she explained that any transaction in a particular month must get posted by 21st of that same month, because that is their cutoff date for cb calculation that will be credited the following month. I'm a new true card user and will report in once I my statement is out.

should follow calender cycle.

on the other hand, your spending on 29th april and 30th may, when was the posting date? it MIGHT follow posting date in calculation of the 'calender cycle'.

My May cash rebate (rebate for transactions in April 2018) was calculated based on all the trasactions from 1st APril to 30 April. I counter checked and verified it together with Customer service, thats why i am convinced that the cash rebate is really calculated this way.

However, in my latest statement received, and when i calculate it using the above way, i couldnt get what i entitled for. So i call again, and this time the new Customer Service agent named Aideel recalculate and show me how the cash rebate i received this month is calculated. Surprisingly, it is based on statement cycle (the cash rebate from 15 April to 15 May only). I was like bangwall.gif vmad.gif ranting.gif ranting.gif ranting.gif

See how funny they are? Their system even calculate the cash rebate (they claimed it is automatically calculated by computer) DIFFERENTLY !!! ranting.gif ranting.gif ranting.gif

p/s just to let u all know JomPay doesnt count as online transaction

1. actually i don't really know whether the cashback cycle is statement date or calendar date, i try to read their T&C b4, there is not definition on "month" in their T&C. I didn't fully utilise the capping since i've other cards, I will only move to Ambank when i've use up other online cashback card quota. So, i can't tell whether it is calendar or statement month. (extracted from TnC: 3% cashback for online retail transactions capped at RM30 per month. Your rebate will be credited monthly on the 21st of every month.)

2. i attached screenshot of the cashback received with the transaction date for my case, normally the cashback will be credited on 19th

3. Amonline will show up the cashback. the screenshot attached is from Amonline.
