Problem with MotoGP is MM too far in front in the point standing!

This season is getting interesting, Vettel-Ferrari is clearly the combo to beat. Most powerful engine and good aerodynamic and most efficient DRS package, see how effortless Vettel overtaking, penalty, yet still clear in front of Bottas. But Vettel made many mistakes that could be avoidable. Without these mistakes he's already leading like MM motogp..

In contrast with Canada, in this race I think they went overboard with the DRS zone as it's too easy to overtake! Hence despite many overtaking, they don't look special.

Well VR surely is not as fast as MM or JL anymore but at least he's still able to match and beat MV, so he is not that slow as well. At least he was still able to win last year and got a pole this year, unlike Kimi who has been winless for 4 years now.

But Mercs brought their engine upgrade in Paul Ricard and then back to front row start for both cars, so I won't dare to say Ferrari has the most powerful engine. Overtaking in Paul Ricard was easy not just Ferrari but for many others too probably because the DRS zone was too long. Bottas also had a damaged floor, hampering his progress. I agree though Seb had made some mistakes that cost him big points, otherwise he should still be leading the points (but should not be as far as MM in MotoGP).

I beg to differ, i think ferrari is still the better package but they just couldn't make the thinner tyres to works.

That's why i think vettel took the gamble trying to overtake both mercedes...because he knew he will ended up at position at around P4-P5 if he didn't.
