This year confirmed 1 thing, Ferrari was superior than Mercedes but Hamilton is there to protect the reputation for Mercedes. See how Hamilton talked about he analyze Vettel's hard on cornering will make the tyres worse and gave him opportunity proved that... If Hamilton was to drive Ferrari, he might runaway with the championship already (Baku and Singapore incident), haha.

Hamilton must be enjoying the last championship trophy for Mercedes team... Everyone saying next year would be Verstappen vs Vettel races since now Renault and Ferrari has catch up on PU power deficit. Bye bye domination from Mercedes.

One point to note is that McLaren chassis do look good now. Notice that in the twisty bits, Alonso was even able to pull away a bit from Ham! Ham only caught up and finally passed him due to the long straights, otherwise he would have had a tougher time or even not able to pass if McLaren just had a bit more top speed.
*
Their chassis good for current Honda speed, with higher speed then it might be different story, maybe rattle here and there then understeer etc..
But Renault not reliable also, so many PU failure this season. McLaren switching to it might not fare better than current situation...

You mean Le Mans LMP?? That series is about to die man!  laugh.gif  Might as well stay in F1 rather than joining a dying series la!
Ugh that will be the time I stop watching car racing all together!  sweat.gif

Install a loudspeaker to mimic V8 roar, then it would be no difference to older f1 days edi, haha.

Seems 2nd drivers from Ferrari and Merc not able to extract the car to maximum for a win. Only Hamilton and Vettel can consistently doing that. Contrast to what outside ppl believe it's the car that gifted Hamilton win this season..

Well that's why both of them are 4 times champ! Kimi on his day back in the mid 2000s was very fast and should be able to match Seb & Ham at least in the dry but now no more. Bottas, well he still have to prove himself as this is still his first year in a top team and his results are actually pretty good in the first half but he kinda drop the ball in the second half. Hopefully next year he will be better and more consistent.

Car wise, F1 has always been car dominant first and racer 2nd, so whoever wins the title surely must have had the best if not one of the best cars for that year.

I applaud Alonso for his day of winning world championship with less competitive Renault. He managed to keep Schumacher and Raikkonen behind with his nice defensive drive. Many occasion Schumacher and Raikkonen not able to overtake him with faster car

so final race coming this weekend, can Hamilton beat the superior Vettel-Ferrari package? Since championship race is over, both race wheel-to-wheel, without fear of accident and engine failure. Haha.

nowadays still can race wheel to wheel?? I thought they will be penalized  tongue.gif

Got, I remembered Belgium GP there's a brief moment of Vettel vs Hamilton wheel to wheel. Ferrari was clearly faster but Hamilton did some brave move to close back the door.

For me what I'm most interested to see is how McLaren Renault will perform.

TorroDa have the most mileage as of first testing. This is funny.

As expected Vettel-Ferrari was sandbagging not to showing the true performance. They may have another 5 sec in bag looking how slow this season was compare last year qualifying.

What the hell is happening to official f1 site? The font used is damn ugly and hard to read. Omg why they need such radical reversing changes by introducing the ugly halo, ugly logo and now ugly font

Are they trying to attract people's attention by doing such controversial changes?

That's why bottas need to be replaced imo. You need both cars to make most strategic calls.

Nvm, it's good for fans, let Ferrari win then more fans will be happy and red party. This is how you want to attract more people to view as the season progress. Hamilton No. 2 have to put more effort to chase back no.1 spot.

With Hamilton's gearbox change penalty, I think this race Mercedes is finished. Free practice showing their pace were inferior, and Hamilton will start from behind. This is the race we watch Kimi vs Vettel or... Wait, Ferrari to let vettel win to maximize the points lead in championship.
