My observation is the modern cars have very wide and tall car sill to make the body stronger. We are almost sitting inside a bowl.
The problem is really, it is hard for them (or any non-fit/obese people) to lift their feet and move over the door sill.
The seat heigh relative to the ground is pretty reasonable. Civic hip point is 19", while most dining chair is around 18" - 19". Anyone complains the dining chair?
P/S: I hate people who simply step on my door sill to get in/out of the car.
