Eh, the 8k difference between the 1.5 TC and 1.5TC-P is for the following?

LED headlamps, LED fog lamps - Is it better or brighter for LED?
Chrome door handles - What is this?
Dual-zone auto air con - What is the difference between single and dual zone?
Navigation (by Garmin) - Don't really need it.
*
LED light more pretty tongue.gif
to me, it seems brighter since it is white LED

chrome door handle, just not same color with the car body paint, it is shiny kind, only the car door handle

seriously not so worth for Premium spec, unless you have extra money to spare, about 8k extra
navigation built inside car nowadays doesnt seems useful, what we have in our phone is much more up to date for map

dual zone is two separate temperature control, i guess is each side(passenger and driver), not front and rear, nothing big deal, just you can control the temperature of air cond from either side lol

Wait for new year is better cause it'll help for the resale value. 2017 car RV and 2018 RV is different yo. If you don't plan to sell it in future, ride sampai rosak...then better to get it from the year ends sale.
*
to me, if a new car plan to use for 8-9years or above, then buying year end or not, doesnt make much diff, unless someone plan to change car every 5 years, then year end car RV make some differences

a car 4 years old vs 5 years old will give more RV diff, compare to a car 8 years old vs 9 years old

Guys hw's the maintainance cost of civic 1.5 compared to the 1.8? a rough estimate?
*
from Honda website, not sure is it you looking for, this is mainly servicing your honda civic cost at each interval
1.8 vs 1.5

do note that 1.5 engine oil and oil filter is not added in (the car minder system will notify you when to change engine oil), thus, you might see the total cost for 1.5 is cheaper than 1.8, you may add in yourself... due to the data is not add in

Even when added in the oil and oil filter, its still cheaper than the 1.8 wor. Cz of the service fee different. Perhaps the one in 1.5 did nt add in service fee for changing engine oil n etc
*
could be the labor charges also didnt add in for engine oil and oil filter change biggrin.gif

i ask around, locktech (thailand) around RM420, +RM30 installation, is that reasonable?

i have some friend mentioned RM300-400, but some shop claim it is local not thailand, which is RM60 cheaper...

1.5 = ~12km/l (based on three different cars)
1.8 = ~13km/l (based on three different cars)

Also, it depends on your driving style. if you do a lot of highway driving, the turbo would be better.

If you can afford it, get the 1.5 turbo.
*
somehow Honda claimed, 1.5TC seems more fuel efficient than 1.8
5.8 litres / 100km for 1.5TC (17.2 km/l)
6.3 litres / 100km for 1.8 (15.9 km/l)
i believe Honda tested both 1.5TC and 1.8 in the same way so they came up with this data

anyway in the end all depends on driving style biggrin.gif

hi all sifus, decided to get a TCP black civic, what is the highest offer do you think can get in January? Still can get 7k offer? Any lubang? if take 2017 car register 2018 road tax any pro and con?
*
in my opinion if u drive a car for 8 years++ then only thinking of changing, year end car does not make much differences

if you plan to change car less than 5 years, buying year end car will make your car sell lower price, even you gain some extra discount, but when you sell your car.... your car price lower by more

for example, a car manufacture date is Dec 2017, you register on Jan 2018, it is anyhow still a 2017 car

when you want to sell,
your car first year is 2017, second year is 2018... if you selling your car on year 2021, that will be 5 years car, even though you only drive for ~4 years
if you sell it on year 2025, that will be 9 years car

a car manufacture date is 2018, you register on Jan 2018, it is a 2018 car obviously
your car first year is 2018, second year is 2019, if you selling your car on year 2021, that will be 5 years car
if you sell it on year 2025, that will be 8 years car

you have to roughly know a 4 years vs 5 years car, and a 8 years car vs 9 years car....
bear in mind, if you get year 2017 manufactured car, if you get 5k EXTRA discount, by that time you sell in the above two scenarios, which one will make lesser impact? smile.gif

if a 4 vs 5 years, price diff 10k
if a 8 vs 9 years, price diff 5k

this is because first few years car price depreciate faster... after more years, the price start to depreciate slower

Lol why buy car n worried  bout RV etc? Jus enjoy it lah, my previous cars all n current yr end but still can sell at damn good price after 6yrs loss almost 50% frm new price. With civic one of the best RV models lagi  dint hv to worry in future smile.gif
*
no la, i m not worried, just giving some opinions, in fact i bought a year end car also on 2017 biggrin.gif
just opinion on if one car owner decided change car every 4-5 years, year end car make some impact, if drive for 8-9 years++, make lesser impact on RV smile.gif

RV also depends on other factors like accident free, car condition... etc, year of manufacturer is one of it only biggrin.gif

my previous toyota vios is beginning of year Jan car, after 9 years, the second market boss told me, if year end and Jan, just diff RM2k lol meaning 2008 Dec vs 2009 Jan, RM2k diff haha
