Sharing tricks for by pass HU, hope i'm not too late, this trick was already on civicx forum since June. No Y-cable installation required. No rooting android required. Reversible. (Note i have not test all the function yet but it looks promising, as always do it at your own risk)
No pic for guidance try to use your imagination    I won't be explaining every detail but here it goes:
Step 1: Go to HU android browser

Step 2: Clear the browser address and enter exact following input without the quotes "about:debug" then press go (nothing will happen first, it's intended)

Step 3: Clear the browser address again and this time enter exact exact following input without the quote "file///" then press go
(by now you should see file menus)

Step 4: In the file menu navigate to vendor>app> then search for something like 'whiteListService.apk' and tap it. (Warning: do no tap on any other files or apk, i do not know what will happen but be warn)
It will ask for installation, allow it and tap the install button, then it will prompt installation failed, nevermind that is also intended.

Last Step: Hold power button and restart the HU. Now try and see by pass is working or not, play movie, browse picture..etc

I've tested the "by pass". It works for HU default browser and calculator and setting is enable even when vehicle is moving but i haven't got the chance to test the hdmi mirror link yet.
I'm going to try that on CR-V it should be the same.

Well, as for more tech savvy guys, u should have guessed by the name whiteListServiceApk, this is how honda does restriction for our HU. It is better than rooting, just alter the whitelist.xml will work as intended. Personally i have not tested it yet but people in civicx sort of confirm this approach worked for installing external apk.

can we lock it or what? if possible i want to buy another one... it looks ugly to see the rusty bolt there
or should i steal another civic's cap and install on mine? haha 

I changed to a nice silicon one which cost me RM90 for a pair, no sound since then.

Obviously i've tested it. Ya, i can use thumbdrive and play mp4 video via HU gallery with no issue while car is on the move. But i still haven't purchase wireless cast to test out hdmi mirror link, but i highly believe it works too, since we whitelisted it. Note: please be on high alert while driving don't get distracted by it.

To reverse this, simply navigate to android>app and uninstall whitelistservice.apk and restart the HU. All back to original state.

My next project: improve infotainment to display performance gauge via obd2, either i have to build custom app for it or just reuse existing play store app. I'm going to use hdmi route, instead of force root HU.

Guys , I filled up 4 litres oil yesterday and my gauge did not come up so i filled up another 3 litres today and same thing happened however my distance counter was reducing as usual. so i got frustrated and i filled up 12 litres again and the meter came up as usual .Is this usual for honda 1.5 tc ?? ....Oh the initial oil remaining was 88 km and it was reducing to 83 km after i filled up for the first 2 times

Just did my 30k km service along with service A. So far I have managed to do my normal 10k km service with the service A/B together.

The labour fees for 30k km is foc. Following are the service items:

They did add in a Engine Oil Treatment cost RM52.26 which is said to be recommended every 10k km but I asked them to remove that.

Yes it seems so, although it make no logical sense.

In my opinion, I think Honda MY is giving the maintenance incentive for TCP owner, after all, this is the their first Turbo-equipped car, it needs to gain the consumer trust and rid of the Turbo-bad-reliability stereotypes.

Or it could be just be the harder maintenance on old NA engine tech, who knows 

Mine i just upgraded to Philips Crystal Vision 4300k. Overall much whiter compared to ori yellow bulb 3200k. Better/wider lighting & looks better...

Offcourse white light 6000k bulb would be nice but when raining, is basically useless.. very hard to see..

Is that mean the charges is normal for 1.8S model?
If everyone is paying this amount on each service then I am good.

I just mean which service I can exclude to do it in HSC, like tyre, battery etc.

My car battery died after HSC told me they diagnose and left 50% just 2 week ago on my 30K KM service.
Got the VARTA Blue on board.

my battery result is 49%, is it better to change it or can last for another few months? already 1 year 6 months. SC told me RM270++, will it void warranty if i change outside? what brand is good and what model should i buy?

If it is for the correct nut size, it is not too expensive.

The original one from honda with packaging is like RM20 and the ones from Perodua which coincidentally is the same size is over RM10 as well.

No difference, but not really that cheapo for something stolen that easily.

yes, very sensitive to voltage/current usage...
if system detect more current draw from ABS or VSC..the system think the ABS faulty that drawing heavy current..

my case.. install daytime bumper foglamp LED, i tap to key ON fuse, once car started, OMG.. checklight, VSC ABS hillstart all not function..

remove the tap wire, remove battery -ve terminal.. search google..lastly tap at relay point for ON key...

now no more problem..
