If you read thru their T&C, somewhere it written, u can rent device from them, but, I guess it is not for Malaysia market

I guess we would get less but better (hopefully) riders.

some drivers set min 4.4 rider rating as min, some 4.5, some 4.6 and some as low as 4.0...

I think if uber can reconfigure the setting to let individual drivers to filter their own riders and pick up times are the best.

Don't know how much Uber spends on advertisements of late.
But really, they should save these money, and improve remuneration for drivers instead.

Lol.....if u open a company, u got spare money, will you spend on advertising hopefully to boast sales or give staff a pay rise? 95% of company will take the first option, Uber included

What are the purposes of advertising?
1. to introduce a product or service to consumers
2. to influence consumers' decision

Now, both Uber and Grab are well known. No introduction needed.

As for the second purpose, once a person has decided to use e-hailing service, the next question is:
Grab or Uber?

Two factors will determine her choice:
a. fare
b. waiting time

It's easy to compare fares. But Uber loses out on waiting time, because it has fewer drivers for reasons we all know.

Question will be, the Uber/ Grab user population % total population in KL who self drive.

If you allowed me to quote from the book Blue Ocean Strategy, your arguement is talking about competion between Uber and Grab, competing in Red Ocean. But, my argument is talking about creating a new "market" (litterally lah, since both ride sharing is exist for quite some time ), unconetested Blue Ocean by converting those self-drive car owner to take Uber/ Grab, thus reducing traffic jam.
