From my house in kepong to klcc about 19km shortest distance. At 5am today, uberflash quote rm18.65 and uberx rm23.31. Deducting 25% will give u about rm15 with uberflash.

Assuming that your car cost is rm0.30/km including maintenance and repair. Driving 20km cost u rm6. rm15-rm6 will earn u net rm9.

I fetched a nepalese back to home few days back with uber. During the trip, he was recommending uber all the way, saying uber is about rm2-3 cheaper than grab. By the time, reached his house, pressed collect cash. Final fare was way much higher his usual fare. He was shocked. Rupa-rupanya surge trip. Then all the dispute started... At the end have to give him some discount out of my pocket. But before that, I offered to check his app to double check the fare. While checking his app, I clicked 5 stars.

Uber and Grab need to give promos to maintain their brand. Otherwise it's no difference than other apps such as zepp on, Mula, ezycab etc etc. It's how they selectively choose those who deserves the promos.

Unhappy drivers, lead lower ratings for riders. Then riders return 'favour' to drivers. Drivers kena ban. Uber start hunting for new drivers. New drivers then become unhappy and the cycle goes on.

Hope Uber continue to self destruct itself. We need a better competitor to Grab. Not someone who cheats and move the goalpost.

Some drivers had come to the conclusion that earning that rm5 cancellation fee is more worthy than actually fetching passenger themselves. True to some extent, I made some trips around 5 minutes and only get fares below rm5.

Also thanks to Uber riders aka promo code users who like to give their drivers low ratings, u also help to reduce the number of drivers and increase the surge pricing.

If Uber thinks they can screw their drivers for good with their dirt cheap fares and high commission, then a slow death will suit them well. Btw, where is that philanthropist who defended Uber so well just to get rejected as rider?

Now I seriously think that driver might be in a airplane. Simply online to earn that rm3.75 (deduct uber commission of 25%). Personally I would not do that. Ethically wrong.

U can just leave it alone to the driver to cancel. That if u have the luxury of time. Tats y early morning I prefer book Grab, less hanky panky. Don't want my early morning mood spoiled by some joker uber drivers.

Now uber is smart to use the tech to their advantage. 5mins count down only starts when u arrive at pick up location. So the idea is drive to pick up location. If u don't like the rider face, just lock the doors and drive off. Let the rider terpinga-pinga there.

Playing this cancellation game will not last you long. It's just to piss the riders so they may switch to Grab. It's either u drive grab or get another job.

Usually if rider managed to dispute the cancellation fees, uber will refund back rm5. But uber will not take back that rm5 paid to driver. In this case, uber rugi
