Fare is always higher on Grab. the longer the distance, the wider the gap between Grab vs Uber.
Commenting as a driver perspective. Competition also higher of course.

Forecast this Wednesday will announce ron95 hike again another 10cents... Make it 2.48MYR...

Grab fare has already increased, but Uber fare still remain the same.

Ended up I did not accept any trips for about 3 in a roll !!!

Happened to me last Sunday too..16km for pickup..

Uber now trying a strategy of give promos to selected riders or riders who used non promo rides. While drivers trying to manipulate the cancellation fees. Hahaha. Doom....

Is uber quest/promotion for selected drivers ? If so how they determine it?

As I know....Uber will not increase their fare....only reduce to attract more riders.

With grab increase the fare, I noticed it's harder to to get a ping, probably all went to Uber

crapcar slow pings in areas such as cyber, putrajaya, nilai...

but much easy to get ping with Ublur...but price is terrible.

sometimes the actual fare is only 80 to 90% of their fare formula, i.e. 0.25 x travel times+ 0.6 x km

If I am rider, of course I would choose the cheapest ride of the two....afterall, there is little differentiation between Uber and Grab.

If both fare about same, then, I will request Grab, coz no need hassle answer call from driver asked "mana mau pigi?"

Grab driver mau accept, accept lor, don't want accept, don't accept lor....no need call and ask, willing rider, willing driver.

Plus, Grab got promo one, got points convert to other stuff Uber habuk pun tarak

they don't have to take care the car expenses such as petrol maintenance etc mah...it is driver problem and no theirs

But, in my records, I always give 5 star one ok, and I never let Grab/ Uber driver wait one, I wait for them, and give as much details about my appearance when request ride, like what colour shirt I wear, what I wear, and almost stand middle of road when see them approaching.....lucky haven't get mowed down by car or lorry yet

Some trips are basically 0 income for me no matter how selective I am LOL...
I'd rather be like a taxi driver, make fewer but higher fare trips.
Rather than drive like a dog and make peanuts.
