Under the hot sun, drinking lots of coffee, smoking, lack of exercise. I think uber income is equivalent to rm3000 per month.

the income in uber depends on where you drive ..not every one of us drive in klang valley hard to pin point a specific range.

i drive in nilai as i stay in seremban. if i only drive in seremban its very hard to hit even rm100 per day no matter how many hours u drive unless you get far trips. in nilai its slightly better as trip requests are frequent ut still during college sem breaks the income could be lower without long distance trip.

recently there was a 5 - 8pm quest every weekdays and it was 6 trips for rm50 on top of trip fares.that kind of helped to boost income on daily basis otherwise on trip fares alone it is not an attractive deal. they have these 54 trips quest mon-thurs n that would also help.

but i noticed that if i hit all the quests on regular basis every week which i do..uber would gradually reduce the quest incentive thereafter to lesser amount.

so i stop hitting the quest sometimes for one or 2 weeks and then they start me on better deals once again

Both Uber and Grab same - instead of encouraging their hard working drivers, they discourage them.

Your current job is 10-5 only?
Most people work 8 hours excluding lunch break. Add traveling time it's more like 10 hours.

But even if you are willing to work harder as a Uber driver, bear in mind that you will lose epf (employer portion) and other benefits.

do not leave your current job just to drive Uber / Grab. please.
because the system changes for the worse and will only get worse.

used to be earning 2k per week nett (fare+incentive) with only 60 hours online on the road early this year. but now? impossible.

10am-5pm get gross RM300 is not possible. As river.sand said, if you want to match your current salary. Do not forget to factor in the 12% employer portion EPF and employee benefits like anual leave & medical claim.

Understand your goal and decide yourself. Take TS as example, his goal is to leave the pressure he encountered in the past job. He is happy what he is doing now even the pay from Uber can't match the previous.

Unless your current salary is below rm2000, it's not advisable to leave your current job.
1 more thing to note is that being a driver means a "blank period" in your CV for future employment.
If you decide to be a driver for the rest of your life, then it's ok.

It has always been like this for Uber.
I once had an average of rm1.5-rm2.0/trip quest bonus.
That's why it sux to be a veteran Uber driver, income will only keep dropping.

It is still possible now, even with Uber.
But the question is can you drive for 90 hours per week - not including your meal breaks ?

can go register now....!

but try on part time basis first, 2-4 hours after work and longer hours on weekend. get a taste of it before quit your full time job.

Ask your referral, if got 1, to share some of his referral bonus with you after u hit certain trips. ✌️

At the means time, update your resume and send to all your potential employers.

Yup, don't forget, if you fall sick, u not only no income, u got to pay your own medical bill oso....

and, touchwood, the longer time you on the road, the higher chance you accident, and accident, although can covered under insurance (grey area), but, definitely, you lost your income source again

In the cash tnc, it does state that passenger either give exact change or round up to the next Ringgit (this case, RM 6).

But of course most of the customers never read the tnc... laugh.gif

Tempted to do this. If can hit, then together with weekend quest, 18 trips get RM55, it will be RM125+RM55=RM180 bonus. But I check back my history, got 1 day I drove 9 hours plus to chase 18 trips. It was raining from afternoon until evening so Surge quite high. Net fare + bonus RM55 = RM200. Huge gamble to try and chase 20 trips in 8 hours. When you need to chase those super short trips, even RM2 fare, you won't mind driving 7km to go pickup a bunch of kaki tempangs, but since don't know destination, might end up with trips that take 30 minutes to complete. If can't hit 20, then only left with bonus for 18 trips @ RM55 + 12 trips @ RM55 = RM110. Furthermore, these few days Ublur not much Surge. Even hujan batu this evening, no Surge also. Too risky and might not be worth it if no Surge, so didn't do.

Plus, I couldn't wake up before 12pm. laugh.gif

Why can't they just use the usual rates of rm0.25/min and rm0.60/km. That save a lot of headache
