there is some confusion about playtv@unifi apk.

1. the old original apk was at v7.9.8... works well on most devices, incl ATV os.
recently, a "new original" version came out, v7.9.11.
this "new" version is problematic for some ATV devices - the navigation goes dead.
this 7.9.11 works fine on regular android.
old version 7.9.8 is still working.
try updating to latest 7.9.11 to check if yr device will work.

2. unifi is launching a new STB.
with this, there is a new apk, v1.2.8.
new subscribers get new STB, to use new apk.
older users on some white boxes may have been migrated to this new version(s).
oldest ones using silver box have not been migrated, cannot use new apk.
at log in, u will get a message "u have not been migrated".
new STB, new apk probably come with new ID/PW too.

it will take some for unifi to fully migrate all users, old and new.
likely they will replace with new STB if new relevant contracts signed.

Adoi.. i also confused.. so many versions.. anyone tested yet the 1.2.8?

I moded myself that apk. U can try install urself if u want.

I made 3 version moded. Which is mean, got 3 different decode included bypass SafetyNet checking root.

All files run success streaming in Rooted devices (VMOS-Virtual Root) and i have no Rooted Box, Only MiBox3.

Make sure, ur box got google play. Bcos of the SafetyNet.

I think you don't get my question. My questions is what are the differences of the 3 versions.

In other words, are they all about safetynet and root ?

Did you manage to address any other issues outside of those ? Such as make live channel no stutter or making miracast to work with AstroGo or adjust the subtitle font size ?

I dont which version suitable with ur box. Too many box. U can try which 1 can install..

I dont add or remove original function in that app.. I only remove root detection!..

I dont use miracast or i whatever.

That apk still original from google play.

I have install the 7.9.11 however my device is not supported - Beelink GT mini A. So have to use 7.9.8 version.

Yr box is ATV, so 7.9.11 doesnt work.
Use 7.9.8 as long as u can.

Astrogo screwed many atv devices recently.
Now, unifiplaytv is about to do the same.

any solution to help on the aotg that throttle box like mibox 3?
all channel become slow.

they seem to purposely force all users to run mobile and promote their new box.

i have aotg paid subscription.

Been said many times... many devices running on ATV, incl yr box is screwed by astrogo.

And they r going to get screwed by unifiplaytv soon.


U paid for astrogo? It is free from a user subscription.

If u paid illegit, hacked or stolen id... u take care yrself la...

The good news is with rm100, u can get a new box that can do it. And unifiplaytv too.

what we know is there are boxes that have been good for it for the last 3-4 years, whatever version.

well, if they manage to block ALL boxes, likely it means phones and tablets will be blocked too.

i doubt that is what they want.

Astro still quit by itself sometimes after watching for few hours. Makes me feel like wanna buy a new box, but I'm wondering is it the app issue or box. Coz last time with old astro app it never happen

Recently I was at my in laws place.. I left my old box there for them to use (modeo s905x 16gb/2gb), flashed with atvxperience.
It still had the old AOTG app that was no longer functioning, so I updated to the latest version.
The app detected that I had Magisk installed and can't run. So I used magisk manager package rename feature, and AOTG couldn't detect magisk anymore and was able to run.
However, similar to the Mi Box S, the channels were unwatchable, too laggy.
Didn't try the chrome method though. I straightaway uninstalled the app.

the chrome method most possibly won't work.. what I noticed is only box with certified Amazon/Google will work through browser due to DRM restriction.. most of uncertified box will not be able to play astrogo via chrome.. will get error when try to playback
