not androidtv devices.. but google widevine L1.. that is what i suspected.. as m8s pro l and w, both normal android but with google L1.. both having choppy live tv hd playback.. although they are google L1, they can't play netflix full hd.. kena ban.. kikiki..

i recently watched a video demo of a set top box.. they claimed they are mcmc/sirim approved.. to my surprise, they have astr0 content.. if i am not mistaken, astr0 never licensed their broadcast to any 3rd party iptv.. somemore this provider provides almost latest movie, captain marvel for example.. this stb no monthly payment, pay 1 time only for the device.. i wonder, is it now u can be legal if ur box is mcmc approved, and also illegal at the same time if your device stream copyrighted content..

now i think all the ban android box threat could be just something as diversion from bigger issues..

there is some confusion about playtv@unifi apk.

1. the old original apk was at v7.9.8... works well on most devices, incl ATV os.
recently, a "new original" version came out, v7.9.11.
this "new" version is problematic for some ATV devices - the navigation goes dead.
this 7.9.11 works fine on regular android.
old version 7.9.8 is still working.
try updating to latest 7.9.11 to check if yr device will work.

2. unifi is launching a new STB.
with this, there is a new apk, v1.2.8.
new subscribers get new STB, to use new apk.
older users on some white boxes may have been migrated to this new version(s).
oldest ones using silver box have not been migrated, cannot use new apk.
at log in, u will get a message "u have not been migrated".
new STB, new apk probably come with new ID/PW too.

it will take some for unifi to fully migrate all users, old and new.
likely they will replace with new STB if new relevant contracts signed.

it's been a while since the last relevant list.
and astrogo has had several versions since, latest being:

* no version official or modified works on my sharp AndroidTV tv.
* heard from a seller the ugoos am6plus does not work with astrogo.
* minix us22-xj is in the market - wud like to know if astrog works on it... anyone?

thanks for the tips. tried on my box but its not working on the Apk Editor steps.  Few problems - 1. I don't have the 'uninstall' button after saving the edit (I workaround it by goin to android setting to uninstall Astro go). 2. clicking 'Install' getting Parse error (go into the temp folder to find the save modified version but dont see it there).

im using  A95 X Max, tried with both option 'root switch' on n off.

anyone any other suggestions? thanks

1. I use android assistant App to uninstall..
2. Edit n save.. i m using app installer.. this app will search for you new apk to install..
