gac,

better this way :

< RM10,000 = entry level
RM10,001 ~ RM20,000 = lower midrange
RM20,001 ~ RM30,000 = midrange
RM30,001 ~ RM50,000 = upper midrange
RM50,001 ~ RM100,000 = Hi-end
> RM100,000 = ELITE

What ever AV-related ? or HiFi-related ?
All inside AV room ?
Only Gadgets & Acc. ?
Renovation ?

Actually i would like to suggest a new Thread / Post for member's setup PICTURES only ...
Chat elsewhere / or minimum chat / Off Topic -> OUT ...
I believe there are members enjoy seeing pictures of setup (to get ideas / and be poisoned) but ended up have to endure tens of pages of chit-chat, but probably found 2 or 3 pictures only after reading the whole posting.
Individual may post new thread to discuss individual setup detail, and spec or result ... or can PM for more info.
Moderator has to help enforce ... definitely !
Juz my opinion ...
TQ !

Watch out for distortion from plummeting prices of LCDs/plasmas.

Some chap's 10-20K plasma would be high end last 1 or 2 year but one can get an even better spec'd model today for just 5K today. So this suddenly becomes low end in this monetary scale

How about second hand gears and DIY. I know of vintage speakers and amps that one can bring in from Spore that can blow away today's made in Msia /China brands.

Belden DIY cables for cheap can outshine some of the common brands such as audioquest and monster cables.

Sorry, I guess this is making things complicated. Just ignore this.

My proposal - the pic poster should refrain from saying whether it is budget in the first place, of which I am a culprit. This way, everyone can form a personal opinion.

Agree on this smile.gif Budget word too misused and cause confusion. A ex-school mate told me he was beginner until i found out that this beginner got RM40k setup.... Made me feel like a fool cause i was talking to him and thinking he was same beginner as me. mad.gif

How to classify a person who has multiple RM200k systems (just the audio part only and not yet include visual)? Key word is multiple kekeke.

I think that even though a new thread is started ppl just cant resist to chat in it. Tho such a thread would be great.

Not a problem for him if he wants a pj, I guess as the plasma is more than a decent 720p pj. Or maybe he is eyeing 1080p pj hmm.gif

Anyway, nice and tidy HT room thumbup.gif

Pending some minor acoustic treatment, an additional speaker probably, lighting adjustment and might add a ceiling fan too (can't always switch on air-cond), slightly bigger Full HD LCD/Plasma, Blu-Ray / PS3 ... etc.
Any comments ?

The height of the TV is limiting the rack + equipments ... tat's y have to put it low.
Not easy to look for low-height type rack to accomodate, so i have to temporary use that 1st
