Hm hijack thread. Tumpang tanya, how do you connect from PC to a 5.1 amplifier (I'm having a Panasonic SC-HT995 in mind). I'm confused about the cabling. On the PC soundcard the output is SPDIF. Then connect it to the amp... will it be 5.1 or just stereo ? Sorry i'm really noob at this.

Oh ya,  just to clear de misconception a 720p Pj isnt exactly hi end - if you are talking ringgit here, than I guess you can compare to a 42in lcd but not top of de line even , a 2nd liner maybe...

For us to share some views and comments is good enuff, I think, no need for me to prove to you or anyone else dat I really own wat I say...

both are available online. the bracket's info is on sms.safebrackets.se
google for vogel they have nicer bracket...i wanted to use that but this epson's mounting holes are too far apart from each other.

Added on August 29, 2008, 8:12 pmby the way, anyone here use the Panasonic PT-AE2000 projector? that was the other choice before i decide on this Epson. Of course the JVC RS2 is THE projector to get, but at at 2.5x price of this.....just too painful to part with the $$.

i do understand some of our shortfall but at the basic placement is there.

for example both surround speakers, try to place them such that their sound can’t be specifically pointed to or “localized” by the listeners. The goal of surround speakers is to immerse the listening room in three-dimensional, enveloping surround effect.

Keep these things in mind: room boundaries—such as floors, walls, and ceilings—act like “acoustic mirrors,” and will reinforce the subwoofer’s output. Therefore, a subwoofer placed 3 feet out from all the sidewalls behind a chair, for example, will sound thinner and weaker than the same sub in the same room place directly at the floor-wall intersection.

Yep it's an Ivar by Ikea, i had them long time ago before this the tv was on another cabinet which i have no idea how to fit the avr in it's compartment. now I have plenty of room to work with.

actually my cabinet is about 1.5m high.. from my couch, i have held my head up to watch the lcd tv screen.. rite now the centre speaker is directly pointing to me when i seat at the couch. but, i'll arrange the centre speaker as u suggested.. see how the outcome.. 

yeah.. about the surround speaker i cannot put at the back of the seat coz i still waiting the 'free speaker stand' from the shop i bought.. they are currently out of stocks..
