Hm hijack thread. blush.gif Tumpang tanya, how do you connect from PC to a 5.1 amplifier (I'm having a Panasonic SC-HT995 in mind). I'm confused about the cabling. On the PC soundcard the output is SPDIF. Then connect it to the amp... will it be 5.1 or just stereo ? Sorry i'm really noob at this. sweat.gif

Chill dude,

First off not everybody wants their living/HT room exposed to de world. Also as sum of you already commented this is a braggin thread, so sum dont like to brag...

Oh ya,  just to clear de misconception a 720p Pj isnt exactly hi end - if you are talking ringgit here, than I guess you can compare to a 42in lcd but not top of de line even , a 2nd liner maybe...

For us to share some views and comments is good enuff, I think, no need for me to prove to you or anyone else dat I really own wat I say...

This is my view only, of cos ... others may have other opinions thou'

Cheers and have a nice day

the projector or the bracket?

both are available online. the bracket's info is on sms.safebrackets.se
google for vogel they have nicer bracket...i wanted to use that but this epson's mounting holes are too far apart from each other.

Added on August 29, 2008, 8:12 pmby the way, anyone here use the Panasonic PT-AE2000 projector? that was the other choice before i decide on this Epson. Of course the JVC RS2 is THE projector to get, but at at 2.5x price of this.....just too painful to part with the $$.
*
Hey...
Thanks... I am looking for the bracket. So, you bought online? Sent to Malaysia?
I tried searching for sms.safebrackets.se and it seems many websites are posting it. Can give me more detail? I've just put up a shelve and it is ugly. So, I am thinking of taking it down and put this if it is not too expensive. I think I paid kinda hefty for that shelve I did. Haiz... nvm... as long as my house looks better.

Ha! Ha! Nice setup u got there.
By the way, nice meeting u yesterday and thanks for the ride. Really appreciate it.

You should update your shop picture already tongue.gif as no more Mezzo 5 there. HA! Ha! Ha!

Just bought Mezzo 5 from junwei at his shop. Thumbs up. By the way, ur HT room a bit too small.

Problem is, my house' problem can never be solved. Now got leaking again. Hopefully it won't be big messy repair. Haiz.
My front speaker won't arrive until next month and my surround speakers also not so soon.

Will surely post my setup pic here when complete...

I kinda like the way u put your setup up into paper. He! He! He! Very detailed.
Nice setup. Is this your apartment living hall? Just wondering, are those acoustic panels at the back of the wall?

QUOTE(gac @ Oct 28 2008, 12:55 AM)
i do understand some of our shortfall but at the basic placement is there.

for example both surround speakers, try to place them such that their sound can’t be specifically pointed to or “localized” by the listeners. The goal of surround speakers is to immerse the listening room in three-dimensional, enveloping surround effect.

With traditional box subwoofers, it’s best to experiment with placement, since no two rooms are exactly alike. Keep these things in mind: room boundaries—such as floors, walls, and ceilings—act like “acoustic mirrors,” and will reinforce the subwoofer’s output. Therefore, a subwoofer placed 3 feet out from all the sidewalls behind a chair, for example, will sound thinner and weaker than the same sub in the same room place directly at the floor-wall intersection.

no offense, just my 2cent

cheers!!!

Well, me for one, is someone who don't know where to put speakers. Sub- no need to talk. Lagi tak tau.

May be give us a lesson la.

Yep it's an Ivar by Ikea, i had them long time ago before this the tv was on another cabinet which i have no idea how to fit the avr in it's compartment. now I have plenty of room to work with.

Yes those are MS 902i
*
HA! Ha! And I see Ikea stand lamp as well. Kekekeke...
Where is your SVS bolster? whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

Anyway, finding the right TV cabinet is really pain in the arse...
I am still searching. Now, my equipment is on the floor....
Speakers have yet to arrive.

QUOTE(djdyks @ Oct 28 2008, 06:56 PM)
Thanks.
Yes, its my living hall for now, thinking of how to squeeze those into my small proposed AV room (8ft++ x 10ft++ only)
Nope, those are TILES for decorative only ...
*
Ouch... Tiles will be really painful for acoustic.
If you are talking about 8x10 room... u better find ways of absorbing it. Coz at the end, you will hear pasar malam in ur AV Room (as in too noisy).
