Hey is that a ducati thumb drive there? Very neat setup thumbup.gif
A tip to tackle the wife...buy her favorite movies or drama series. Watch with her, get her ice drinks with tiny umbrella and a back and neck massage. Whatever you upgrade also after that no problem laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Not Ducati la ... Juz a normal Sandisk 4Gb to store MP3 thru my Pioneer DV-410V to play
I noticed that my AVR play certain MP3 (320bps) with better quality than CD's wav files !

I read this ... and it shows differ result of comparisons.

http://www.lincomatic.com/mp3/mp3quality.html

I think the cd player itself relevant to give different results

thanks for the compliment. its not a dedicated theater, its the living room......dont have spare room in my tiny pad.

the PS2 is gathering dust, not the PS3...though its not often used also.

i've heard that ppl wants 60GB PS3 and willing to pay crazy money for it.
*
Sorry got it wrong ... My PS2 collecting dust too. Longing for a PS3 for so long !
Latest limited edition : PS3 with 160Gb ... check it out !

Hi gac, thanks for your advice
The subwoofer is moveable, the current placement is "after" movie time and when its not in use. Normally the sub should be further out of the crowded place. I've tried numerous placements and angles for the front and back surround speakers ... until i like it there and that way. Probably due to the odd size living hall and my ears ...
Cheers

I kinda like the way u put your setup up into paper. He! He! He! Very detailed.
Nice setup. Is this your apartment living hall? Just wondering, are those acoustic panels at the back of the wall?

Thanks.
Yes, its my living hall for now, thinking of how to squeeze those into my small proposed AV room (8ft++ x 10ft++ only)
Nope, those are TILES for decorative only ...

Yeah, i think so too.
Just bought for 2 mths.
However currently i'm test-making my stereo hifi sound like surround. (sitting in the center, but the sound comes from everywhere)
My items will be mixed-match to test-trial regularly

this Usher s-520 can use for front channel as well.good performance, veri bright/forward but need careful speaker cbl to match other wise SQ will be too bright.can partner well with tube amp(el34,kt88 or 300b) shocking.gif
*
Yeah, i'm running it with QED Silverscreen XT / Transparent speaker cables
I'm really eager for an integrated tube amp, only tat funds not enuf, so gotta wait and wait and wait ....

You may look for used valve amp, perhaps just replace new tubes or capacitor only. But don't use silver cbl to attached at Usher s-520 as SQ will be overbright.

What ever AV-related ? or HiFi-related ?
All inside AV room ?
Only Gadgets & Acc. ?
Renovation ?

Actually i would like to suggest a new Thread / Post for member's setup PICTURES only ...
Chat elsewhere / or minimum chat / Off Topic -> OUT ...
I believe there are members enjoy seeing pictures of setup (to get ideas / and be poisoned) but ended up have to endure tens of pages of chit-chat, but probably found 2 or 3 pictures only after reading the whole posting.
Individual may post new thread to discuss individual setup detail, and spec or result ... or can PM for more info.
Moderator has to help enforce ... definitely !
Juz my opinion ...
TQ !

Pending some minor acoustic treatment, an additional speaker probably, lighting adjustment and might add a ceiling fan too (can't always switch on air-cond), slightly bigger Full HD LCD/Plasma, Blu-Ray / PS3 ... etc.
Any comments ?
