QUOTE(ameenskywalker @ Jul 22 2009, 05:05 PM) To all sifus, this might not be the right thread to ask but i do not want to start the new one. Regarding the Acoustic panel, is it only available for DIY ? Do you all think it's better to have professional install it for the whole room ? will it be too expensive and not worth it ? I'm moving to a new home and wife has gracefully grant me 1 one room for HT.. and i'm wondering the what should i do first during the renovation period... Thanks. Having a professional to install it is of course better, after all they are the professionals. This in return will require lots of money as those branded acoustic panels dont come cheap like Echobuster and Auralex. That's the reason why many people want to get OEM panels and DIY. Well, if you have a strong budget, you can go for professional installation.

QUOTE(arremie @ Jul 13 2009, 12:16 AM) The 3M Command Strips really stick the foam well to the wall. Has been 3 days and no sign it will drop unlike using double sided tape. Only use 3 at the top and 1 at bottom. Good stuff. Hope it will hold indefinitely Just wondering if installing thick carpets on both sides of the walls e.g from floor level upto 5ft high would improve room acoustics. This would also improve the aesthetic values of the room and easy in the eyes of HM. Then install thicker fabric/carpets on the bass trap areas would also improve the overall sound quality. Has anybody tried this cheaper (?) way?

I need to dig up the quote and get back to you on how much the console is.
