i really like your sub, what brand is it? it looks solid from here, passive or active? well nice speakers also, though cannot see the brand and u also have a marantz cd player is it ? what amp u use to listen to hifi ?

are you using any HTPC to connect or watch movies, ? whats the spec, im also using pc to watch movies

The speakers are all Aaron speakers from Australia. Got them from the Hi-Fi Shop in 1Utama when they were still at the old wing. Not the best speakers in the world. Tweeters don't have enough extension on the highs so the mids are kinda overwhelming.

The sub which is also Aaron is actually quite good. Dual 8 inch woofers that can actually rattle the plaster ceiling. Will definately be keeping this one. This sub has both high and low level inputs with it's own adjustable crossover.

The amp is a Rotel 921 which is really old. No digital input and it's one of their lower end models. Will definately be getting it replaced. Currently it's connected to the cd player and htpc all through RCA analog ICs.

Finally the htpc is using the zotac geforce 9300 mb with an intelcore 2 duo. Nice thing about it is that it comes with wifi so that I can stream movies from my nas which is upstairs.

For me I had a power point made in the ceiling near the projector. But if your power point is further away then I suggest you get a new longer power cable.

here is mine, ok since no one post, very very basic, a lot of reused stuf

plus only the TV and surround spk and center spk and Amp is bought by me, the other was fomerly from old pc subwoofer and also my dad old speaker.

the setup only very cheap cheap , not expensive, not so rich to buy high end stuff to listen, kef coda ok lah. sonic gear center spk ok lah, very good indeed, but dont look down on the compaq sub, something that you can never buy anymore, cause no more in the market, i got it as a 2.1 spk for 150 each, no more loh,
there goes

Try some PC shops. I'm sure they sell the longer generic IEC power cables.

But how long do you need?
