You may speculate as you wish, if that makes you happy lol

Note: Seresta Block A was launched way back in 2019, and Seresta Block B was launched recently, in year 2020. For those who already bought their unit, i bet your lawyer has mentioned (as I ask specifically, what's amendment that they have done to my SPA as opposed to original control copy of SPA) that, this development has been granted an approval from the government to be completed within four (4)  years, instead of usual three (3) years. Hence, the completion is targeted at 2H 2022, as per advertised.

As of now, the construction progress is rather healthy to me, as there are another 20 months to go before VP.. and progress currently is at Level 29, out of 49 floors for Block B. Touch wood, it should be able to complete on-time, as per plan given there is no major issues by the contractor.

To top it off, the contractor appointed to construct Seresta is Pembinaan Yuen Seng Sdn Bhd, if I get it right. And upon validation, Pembinaan Yuen Seng has a good track record as well, if looking at their previous project.

Peace Out! ✌️

Isnt this contractor also completed previous foresta phase? was looking to buy foresta few yrs ago but lots of defect complaint by buyers in their thread. Contractor for icon city also... hmmm hmm.gif

Managed to have conversations with a fella in charge of Safety outside the construction areas after my jogging, and he mentioned to me; the structure is targeted for completion in two months time, reaching the top floor. Level 9 and 10 unit, has actually started to be furnished with tiles, etc

Actually the quality of Foresta is not THAT bad.

It's okay la, the only bad thing in Foresta that I saw was the lift, but I heard people say lifts going to be replaced with better ones/fixed/etc.

I considered to buy Foresta before, up until I saw that huge telecommunication towers on the hill right next to it.....

I suppose the telco tower would apply to Seresta too. Too close for comfort I guess.

Yeah, a bit too close for comfort, if not I would have bought Foresta/seresta.

Environment is excellent there, units are huge and reasonably priced freehold.

It’s too bad, really, that telco tower.....

Talking about Communication Towers, in fact, I do consider this factor prior to making a decision to continue with the purchase. Hence, I take a walk, from Damansara Perdana to Seresta, and this what I get;

And, I have a chance to go to Level 36 of Foresta, and see how far or in fact, how near are the communication towers to Seresta. And this is what I get;

And, looking at it, yes, it is near, but it is NOT so near to an extend, worrying me. Why I am saying that? is because I see a lot of communication towers build on top of existing condo, facing another condo, within Damansara Perdana... that's for me, even worse. Or in another scenario, we all understand, and all of us can rightly observe, a lot of communication antenna, being erected on top of the existing commercial lots (the shop lots), which merely, less than 50m to the next residential unit, that's again, more worrying.

Hence, it doesn't stop me from investing smile.gif

You should know that those antennas that you see on shop lots/condos/houses are a whole different type of antenna/satellite dish/etc.

Those are nothing compared to a full-blown telecommunications tower. There’s been numerous studies and research on the radiation emitted by telecommunications tower, and they’re all scientifically proven. You can just google and you’ll find the results of those research, and they generally point towards the same conclusion - stay within 500m of a telecommunications tower, your risk of cancer increases.

There’s even a study that shows the impact of staying within 100m, 200m, 300m, etc within a telecommunication tower - you should google it and it’s very interesting. From that study, there’s actually an acceptable “safe” distance that you can stay from a telecommunication tower, can’t remember what it was, but Foresta seems too near.

These full-blown communication towers are made to cover miles and miles of area for cellphone coverage - so you can imagine how much is the radio frequency that is emitted by these type of towers.

The dishes/antennas on shop lots are mostly receivers, not emitters - so they do not emit radio waves, but just receives them. Also, you’d need to understand how radiation effects the human body. We have a tolerance limit towards radiation; and although everything around us emits radiation, as long as it’s within the tolerance limit that our body can absorb, then you’ll be fine.

A huge problem about that telecommunications tower is that the radiation emitted by that tower can easily blow past what the radiation yearly limit of what a human body can absorb. Couple that with a long-term effect of staying near there.....well....you do the maths.

My family has a history of cancer, that’s why I’m avoiding Foresta/seresta. But hey, if you think that the tower is an acceptable risk, it’s a good investment, as there’s not many negative aspect for Foresta/seresta. Good property which is hard to find if you can live with the tower, sadly I can’t, really liked Foresta when I viewed several units there.

Found a summary article of the distance study that I mentioned above.

https://beatemf.com/mobile-tower-radiation-safe-distance/

Don’t take my word for it, do your own research and read a lot of studies - radiation from telecommunication antenna is not a new topic, there’s tons of research on the impact available.

Good analysis, @NorAzdanNordin

Buying a property is a very long term commitment. If there is the slightest of doubts, move on and look for another. What appeals to some may not appeal to others.

For seresta, i have done the similar checking too on this, as its pretty confirm the tower was actually seems pretty far, but its good that you share the article for everyone info too

i checked based on estimated location to seresta resident block, seems about 420m-430m in google earth. it should give a rough picture of the estimation on this.

Somehow or rather, did we realized that our life is surrounded by a lot of microwave. Your phone, your house WiFi, etc etc and we are continuously subject to it 24/7/365.. Besides the telecommunications tower give a bad sight to those who choose jungle side, i am not worrying on the radiation due to the communication waves.. hence, i decide my unit to face to Sri Damansara... Facing North 🤗

That’s why earlier I said people should read up and get informed on how radiation affects human beings.

Yes, we’re surrounded by radiation from microwaves/phone/etc, even driving around your car and taking a flight exposes you to radiation, but the difference is - human body has a limit of how much radiation it can absorb without causing harm.

Generally microwaves, phones, etc emit minor and harmless radiation, that’s why people are okay surrounded by them.

Mobile towers, are a whole different thing, comparing radiation emitted by small appliances around us with a telecommunications tower is like comparing heat emitted by your ceiling light vs heat emitted by a campfire.

You can sit next to a ceiling light your whole life and probably nothing is going to happen to you, but put yourself next to a campfire your whole life, you’ll be cooked slowly. They both emit heat, but at different intensity/degree, so the impact is different.

That’s my analogy and view, anyway. The research shows that DISTANCE from the radiation source is the key factor as effects decreases as distance increase, so maybe the tower is far enough to not do any harm.
