Mantap and Padu!

Reporting in today's ride. I've always wanted to ride up Air Itam dam but all the horror stories both in LYN & among real life friends had got me hesitating a lot.

Anyway, I'm glad I chose low traffic hours to ride up since that allowed me to zig-zag when it comes to hard climb.

what time are you riding up there?
I am newbie on foldie based in Penang too. last 2 weeks drove up to Air Itam dam and ride up into the Goh Hean Temple from there.
Still hesitating to ride from Kek Lok Si kaki bukit to Air Itam Dam

I rode up at 3.40pm yesterday. I've never rode up to Ngor Hean temple but I think if you can ride up there, you should have no problem riding from bottom up to Air Itam dam.

EDIT: According to this article, difficulty of riding up to Air Itam dam is 3/5 while Air Itam dam to Ngor Hean is 3.5/5 which is slightly harder.

Lately no mood to ride, got many things kacau. Undecided when yet

azamunekurone did you remove your Verge D9's fenders? I find that my rear fenders somehow or rather always get too close to my wheel, causing the wheel not to be able to spin properly.

Not sure if this is known issue.

already decided to get one cheap roadbike (SAVA + Sora Groupset) to replace my trinx.

cant wait for it to do some road riding in Singapore (never really ride on the road before, mostly on bicycle lane).

target : to round island whole singapore (100km appoximately) before end of the year

mine is p9, 406 wheelset come in staock.. if got blocking, better open it

sava also a good brand. quality ok, but performace wise not the best. its nearly the same design like cippolini. by far its better than oem/fake bike..

Haha thanks, I didn't really research much , just buy which is cheap and affordable.

Try first, will upgrade the parts to 105 groupset later , if sora groupset not enough/ spoil.

Tern P9 vs XDS K12

The P9 frame much much stiffer than the K12

Many differences between those two, especially at the folding parts, which is much beefier on the P9.

K12 lose in every possible way, except pricepoint. at MSRP, the K12 is rm few hundred cheaper and comes with full sora groupset + tektro hydraulics.

no wonder people are raving about dahon & tern. their framesets are just better than the rest
