Not sure
Maybe we overlook that part, you got a point there.

Decided to part out the parts and throw the frame , not going to repair it anymore.

Gonna build cheap custom carbon roadbike with sensah empire groupset.

Once seat post too long or front fork upgrade from original size then high possibility the frame will crack. Because the frame original design is not tackle those size.

Your frame is alloy or carbon ? If alloy still can recycle the frame.

It is alloy frame. U mean get someone to weldback?

Yeah the rider is like 184cm on 20inch bike.

No. What I mean is sell to those metal recycle shop.

QUOTE
NEVER attempt to repair an aluminum frame. Here are a couple of reasons why:

1. When the frame failed there is no easy way to tell if there is other structural damage. You can't just bend an aluminum frame back into shape and weld it;

2. If the frame cracked then there is a high probability that it has reached the end of it's useful life. Aluminum will eventually fatigue and fail. With the advent of these the term "sudden catastrophic failure" was coined and yes, it is as bad as it sounds;

3. You can't just weld an aluminum frame. Once repaired the entire frame has to be annealed and then retempered- something that costs a lot more than just replacing the frame with a new one;

4. Unlike steel, aluminum frames crack when bent. Even if it isn't apparent most dents can signal a death knell for the frame and if you continue to use it could mean a death knell for you too. Just to be clear, not every dent in a frame will cause it to fail but it will be more likely.

We decided to sell out these parts, and already order cheap china carbon frame 700c rb + sensah empire groupset 11 speed over the weekend.

Total estimated cost : should be around RM1.6- 1.7k rm, ( only part used back , hollowtech bb+ litepro crank, maybe will get smaller chainring later on, coz current chainring is 56t, too big for rb).

Gonna self build.

Hopefully the outcome will be good.

56T is pretty popular among fodie mods, but somehow it doesnt attract me.

nabeh last time my Ugo 52T oso hard to pedal and i was considering to swap down to a 48T or a 50T

luckily i didnt, because after that i hardly ride it anyway. now thinking if wana sell off but abit apprehensive because it's me and waifu first bicycle, got sentiment

Today's ride

From home to kl and back home for 100km dedicated to my pet cat that died last night.

Today also first time wearing a cycling jersey. Bloody 18sx with my manboobs and nipple pointing out.
For the jersey, if you're big size (aka gemuk) like me, take the largest and don't buy the race cut.
Club cut is good enough. Not too baggy and not too loose.

wanna share my experiment here. notice my small cog?

user posted image

last time, i wanted 14t on my 11-23 8s casette. since buying any brand casette, i wont find that 14t unless i upgrade to 9s but that would cost me extra on shifter. since 8s casette nowdays became cheap, so why not i try to mix 2 casette. i mix 11-23 and 11-28 casettes

user posted image

i bought sunrace casette 11-32. within that ratio, i saw what cog i missed in my 11-23 casette. both my casette are sunrace, and sunrace casette u can open it piece by piece

user posted image

and here i got!
8s 11-18 casette. only 1t jump each casette

user posted image

and why im doing this?

do you have a feel mostly flat road/rolling when up gear, u will feel too loose and down ur gear feel too heavy?
i feel something missing there. thats why i try to experiment new ratio

are these ratio enough to climb hill?
for me yes. since im running on 16” 349 i had double chainring setup, that is 53/39. i had tried few hills such as fraser, blk pulau or jerai. the max cog i used only 15t so i decided to used this closed ratio casette.

and here we go laugh.gif

For sure. If you can get desired compatible sprocket, then you can mix and match. nod.gif

So you only use 5gear now? Haha
Easy to tune?
Last week, I also swapped my 8speed cassette from 12t to 11t( from another cassette) , but only one cassette.

This is another way to go lightweight. Hahah
