then which one better and faster ? dv2300 or dv6200?
*
depends....DV2300 have a faster processor but slower graphics...DV6200 has a slower processor but faster graphics...u gotta consider the price tag as the DV2300 is like RM1k more than the DV6200....DV2300 is lighter too...

Guys i saw DV2505 (2.4 kg) with C2D 2 Ghz and 2Gb RAM price quoted i can see RM5499. Graphic card not sure . The unit i saw didnt have any finger print unit on it. So i believe is an old model.

My question is , is the casing prone to scratch ? Is this a worthwhile buy ?

Would you wait for latest NEC EXXXx (with hhigher spec but price is still an enigma)

Your comment appreciated

for the driver try using the dv9000 seria one. I believe the sond card is the same and it support xp. in fact, most of the dv9000 hardware is the same with dv6000. so the driver should be the same also.

too bad HP quickplay version 3 do not support win xp. Even in vista, if we touch te quickplay button, it must boot first from window and then start the quickplay application. doesn't sound quite quickplay to me.

Really? then you can go to http://www.driveragent.com to scan your system. Install the client application and they'll scan and give a download link to your missing driver

edit: err, i just noticed that we need to register and pay money to the website to download the driver. sweat.gif

anyone tried recording a video with the webcam?? I just tried with it just now, but there is a major problem, the recorded image doe snot synchronise with the sound, in a very serious manor, the video proceeded much faster than the sound, so u will see speeding images and the sound stops half way since the video ended so soon.... anyone met this problem and do u know where to change the settings to fix it?

i've tried recording a video but there seems to be no problem with it.
i use quickplay to record it.

owh wait.. i just notice something weird when i check my webcam driver... in my device manager
there are 2 items under 'Imaging Devices' in the device manager one of it is the HP Pavillion Webcam with a yellow exclamation mark on it
and the other one is USB video device
that's weird.. i wonder how it got to be there o_0 and it seems as if i'm not using hp default driver for my webcam.. how can that be?? i'm confused....

well anyway.. maybe your problem has something to do with the webcam driver??
btw.. what's the operating system u're using? vista? xp?

i've already backed up my data, and im going to format my 6205 in a few hours/days...

i just want to ask, any 6205 users downgrade to XP experience any problems?
drivers or system problems?

im still not sure whether it is better to just format the lappie and continue with Vista,or format and install XP.

btw, as long as i do not touch the D drive,my Vista installation files would be safe, right?
installing XP wont effect it?

thanks

It can be media problem. Did you play original media? If you experience the same in original media playback, you can request the DVD drive to be replaced.

Note: I replaced my DVD drive 1 month ago.
