too bad dv6227 is not sold at pc fair as well, last time during the student promotion, dv6227 only used GeForce Go 7200 and is 3,999, i think it is impossible that price still the same for GeForce Go 7400, i din buy this model last time bcoz the GPU a little too low...

actually i din go to the myself... always my brother and one of my parents went, but it was very unlucky for us... bcoz our desktop that we bought, we went there many times bcoz of the harddisk.... luckily within warranty...
first time toatlly spoilt and data unrecoverable.... replaced with another one..... and for not long.... spoilt again, i immediately cried coz i work on my stuff TWICE redi!!! and it spent quite some of my time doing it, luckily this time recoverable and anyway the harddisk replacement works until now although we have donated it to someone else.... The rest of the machine is nice... anyway the harddisk is not made by HP..... I still think HP is good, especially that i like the laptop, very nice specs for me and reasonable pricing. |

i just got my dv6227tx today, it is coming with 7400 now... the older batch comes with 7200, thats why i didnt buy earlier although it is a student promotional model that deduct 600 ringgit, that is only 3,399 and comes with the TARGUS backpack, im getting it now since it has upgraded to GeForce Go 7400, and the processor seems to be slighly upgraded, i remember last time is 1.83 GHz Core Duo, but my dv6227tx comes with 1.86GHz, same as mentioned earlier by another recent dv6227tx owner.
I got my dv6227tx with 2GB upgrade, i just got it from william at lowyatt. Anyway, the processor is good enuf for me, Quadcore is coming, C2D is gonna be outdated soon as well..... but anyway, there arent much applications that are actually running concurrently on multiple cores today.... and we do not when they will actually be produced... Since im planning to upgrade my desktop is a quite far future, getting an affordable laptop is my goal now, important for me is good RAM, good graphics and good enuf processor to do my work.... Still trying out on my lappy and also on vista before i "upgrade" it to XP soon.... Added on April 16, 2007, 2:14 am QUOTE(bsm @ Apr 16 2007, 01:35 AM) my problems have been solved. just found out that i was given the wrong specs by my friend regarding the 6227. it does in fact come with core 2 duo. and i also noticed that the 6174 screen is a tft lcd not a HD lcd as with the 6227. only thing, the 6227 that im getting still comes with 7200 gpu. but i guess since im provided with 2g of ram which are running at 667mhz compared to other 6227's that are being sold with 7400's and only 533mhz running rams(can u confirm this zoglandboy??) i guess id rather settle for the higher ram speeds than slightly better graphic card since i wont be gaming much. will let y'all know as soon as i join d club!! saw pavilion models at pc fair which are similar in outlook and they look fantastic. cant wait! i gonna check it latter, know how to check using softwares?? without physically reading on the RAM?? Pavilion dv6000 all uses the same chasis, therfore they are identical, just that details of specs differ. PAvilion's design reli very nice, for it it looks simple yet comfortable, what i liked best is the small cute little remote control....thanks 4 d advice. Go 7200 is only having 32MB dedicated memory but turbocached up to 256.... i gave up on the model since the dedicated memory of the GPU a bit low..... if it has better dedicated memory i have long get it, 3,399 last time with the backpack.. anyway im satisfied with this newer model, with 7400, although a bit more expensive.

even i get the backpack but im getting a new one soon.... a samsonite wan, my fren can get 15% discount. This targus looks nice but its not good enuf, not spacious enough, barely enuf for me to put stuff in..... and the support strap is not well designed, the force are all concentrating on the sides of the strap, so within days, the lines are getting off redi, i have no idea how long it can stay, including the laptop accessories and my stuff, i carried nearly 5kg of stuff in my bag everyday to uni, taking nearly 30 minutes walk, so not very practical for me.... it wont last very long.... but if u are not heavy user like me, shuld be a good and nice bag...

bought a new laptop backpack as my Targus is spoilt... so bought a samsonite one, and thankful my dv6227tx fit nicely into the bag, they dont have bigger dimension ones left so i took the biggest they have redi, this seems to have better durability, as dv6000 series is rather heavy compared to many others, and i walked with it alot, so better get something that last longer. Anyone know if there are any TARGUS dealer that i can send my TARGUS for repair, its just the straps peeling off.... i reli like that bag, too bad it is spoilt....

anyone tried recording a video with the webcam?? I just tried with it just now, but there is a major problem, the recorded image doe snot synchronise with the sound, in a very serious manor, the video proceeded much faster than the sound, so u will see speeding images and the sound stops half way since the video ended so soon.... anyone met this problem and do u know where to change the settings to fix it?
