im using k-lite full codec pack. is it possible to have 2 codec packs installed 2gether? i was having both k-lite and vista codec packs and thought maybe they were causing the slight lag when loading coz of conflicts or something. so i uninstalled them both and just installed k-lite alone. but still doesnt seem to load as fast as last time. what could be the problem?

Possible, yes... Recommended, no... They might cause codec conflicts with each other...

My recommendation, get the CCCP Codec Pack... It's not as huge as the K-lite megapack, and not as buggy (trust me, I've got the K-lite screwing up on me after a few months)... Then get real-alternative and quicktime alternative (if you don't want to use RealPlayer and QuickTime) to round it all up...

And yeah, last I checked, K-Lite slowed my old system down... Granted my old lappy was slow to begin with (it can't even play H.246 MKVs fast enough), but it was noticable...

Note, Your Mileage May Vary... Just my 0.20 sens...

hmmmm...tried the cccp pack. works fine n all. but the slight delay when opening files is still there. any suggestions??

Did you completely uninstall every other codec pack and restarted, before installing CCCP?

CCCP is able to replace K-lite and Vista codec..? Which player will be default player..? WMP? or MPC?

yeah did that. but still getting that slight delay before the files open.

Yes it boots Vista 1st and then after that it will load Quickplay out.

but i have a slight problem :S
when i restart my lappie, my WLAN is disabled, the switch is on, and the WLAN is missing in device manager. Only way is to shutdown and restart then my WLAN works.. weird problem :S
