Hi guys, im just bk from MV. Also decided to go for RM 3999 DV6000 series.

Maybe will buy it next week. It comes with Windows Vista Home Premium,

so here's my questions:

1) does it support LAN connection so that i can connect to router? Cos last

time when im using XP Home, it dont hv the installation for Protocal.

So i need to use XP Pro in order to connect LAN to Router.

Sorry if my explanation is bad, cos only know a few about it.

It should... I'm on wireless atm but I don't see why LAN wouldn't work.

Do you know that DV series are capable to connect and watch fully rich videos using HDTV?! So for those who just bought DV6000 Series, welcome on board to the latest rich graphics at your home. *but of course you need HDTV enabled TV box to get such cool graphics*

Yea, after I burned my cds I got a notice telling me that that was the only copy I could make... but what if they didn't burn properly or something? I haven't had the chance to check (and how would I, unless I tried to recover using them?) blink.gif

Anyone know how much a set of recovery cds cost if I order some from HP?

Have you try connect it to HDTV? The DVs have no HDMI port, you connect through S-video? Any degradation in picture quality?

anyone having problems with msn on vista?? mine seems to keep on signing in and signing out non-stop.

also, does anyone know how to allow access to shared folders on a network only to selected users? (considering the folders im sharing are from my other pc, running xp and i only want my dv to be able to access them and no one else that is connected to the same network)

thanks.

Yup! And the quality is great. If you see carefully on Your S-Video Port, if you have 7 pin connector, And you are running NVIDIA graphic card, Then You will have the picture that you yourself will say ...awwwww!! biggrin.gif But remember, only 7 pin, lesser than that, it's not gonna work. And you can buy the converter either online or in Lowyat.

There is a few tricks to that thing... BUT first of all, if you wanna burn MORE than 1 , DON'T repartition your D drive until u are satisfied.

IF you decide to use The easy method

Then Do a disc to Disc Copy

Else
Go to c:/windows/smint directory and rename the HPCD to .bak file

End IF

If still go if... I don't know la bros. tongue.gif

instead of buying new recovery CD, why don't you try to make multiple recovery CD set. Search this thread for the links to the tutorial. i've posted sometimes ago. wink.gif

like that can ar? I don't think bout it in da first place...If the HardDisk is repartitioned to 3 partition (exclude recovery partition becoz he removed it), then after do a full recovery it's gonna be 2 partition right? one for vista and another for recovery..am I right?
