Hi Alexander, as stipulated in our terms and conditions, if you signed up via a referral code, you will not be entitled for the New Customer voucher on Shopee. I know that the RM 1 refunded to you is still unsatisfactory, however we've already raised your feedback with our engineering team to possibly look into removing unredeemed referral/promo codes that are associated with an account.

MrLuno, i sign up at Luno since 2018 but forgot about it. I didnt deposit any money, nor do I verify anything or did any trading.
If i use my old account and verify now, am i considered new or old account? Can i qualify for the new account voucher RM15/30?

Hi, newbies to Luno and also any cryptocurrency.

I am expecting to receive some cryptocurrency but unsure is which one as I redeem from an app but I need to register an wallet to redeem it.

May I know which wallet can I register for free so I can trade in Luno?

Have you sold off all your assets in Luno and close your account yet?

Since you are not happy with their service.

I have absolutely no problems dealing with Luno.

In fact, I bought some BTC from the Luno exchange in 2017.

haven't tried recently after they are approved by SC though.

Hi TheRedDevil, for you to log a support ticket, you may do so here: https://www.luno.com/help/en/tickets/new and the team will be able to assist you.

If you're using the app on iOS or Android to contact us just go to Profile > Help > Contact Us (it's at the bottom of the Help page).

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

Hi cofin, can I just confirm that you've successfully changed your mobile number from a non-Malaysian one to a Malaysian one?

I see in the system that it's now a Malaysian number.

Apologies if it took awhile for our customer success team to reach out to you. But in the future if you have any issues, please feel free to reach out to me directly via PM.

Thanks!

Hi alexanderclz, you still seem to be unhappy although we've already clarified to you regarding the T&C of the Shopee voucher codes.

To reiterate, if you signed up via a referral code, you will not be entitled for the new customer voucher on Shopee, this is stated clearly on the Shopee product page for the vouchers.

From our system it shows that you did indeed enter your friend's referral code prior to entering the Shopee voucher code, hence disqualifying you from being defined as a "new customer".

We've tried to offer you to refund your money back to you but you felt that was still unsatisfactory. Do you have any suggestions how we might be able to mediate this issue?

In terms of fees, we have a detailed page that stipulates all the information here: https://www.luno.com/en/countries/MY

If anything is unclear please refer to the below:

Withdrawal Fees: RM 0.32 (per withdrawal request not by % or amount)
Deposit Fees: Free
Luno Exchange: Maker = 0%, Taker = 1%-0.5% (depending on monthly volume of BTC traded)
Luno Instant Buy/Sell = Dynamic fees
Receive Fees: Free
Sending Fees: BTC address = Dynamic (depending on network traffic) | ETH address = Dynamic (depending on network traffic) | Sending to email address or mobile number (social send)
Instant buy/sell Fees: Exact charge is calculated upon confirmation screen

Do let me know if you need any further clarifications.

Thanks!

as i have clarified as well, if you can find anywhere in the system that i have fulfilled any friend's referral criteria then i will definitely agree with u. especially with the unclear and ambiguous terms and conditions/false advertising.

yup, it's never about the RM1 refund. do u think i care about RM1? but i am very upset that your customer officers being very arrogant and rude, hiding behind so called ambiguous terms and conditions to protect them. this is why i said luno cannot be trusted. even RM1 want to be arrogant, what more others.

i'm glad that you asked for a suggestion. just give me what i'm due that is RM15 for using the Shopee voucher as per instructions. and how hiding behind ambiguous terms and conditions.

i know it's a long shot to have authorities check on you guys, but at least the security commission is already looking into this.

while i have not dealt with luno CS, it is disheartening to know a "crony" company (I have my reason for this please don't open this can of worms!) continues to hide behind their special status especially after being recognized by the relevant authorities. It is normal for CS to regurgitate the same thing over and over again without actually emphathizing on the nature of the difficulty/complaint because they have been trained in such a way.

mrluno's replies seem reasonable as he's willing to work with you. What remains to be seen is if he follows through his willingness in refunding you the RM15.

I will wait on opening a Luno account. And no, I am not desperate because I have significant holdings outside.
