as i have clarified as well, if you can find anywhere in the system that i have fulfilled any friend's referral criteria then i will definitely agree with u. especially with the unclear and ambiguous terms and conditions/false advertising.

yup, it's never about the RM1 refund. do u think i care about RM1? but i am very upset that your customer officers being very arrogant and rude, hiding behind so called ambiguous terms and conditions to protect them. this is why i said luno cannot be trusted. even RM1 want to be arrogant, what more others.

i'm glad that you asked for a suggestion. just give me what i'm due that is RM15 for using the Shopee voucher as per instructions. and how hiding behind ambiguous terms and conditions.

i know it's a long shot to have authorities check on you guys, but at least the security commission is already looking into this.

while i have not dealt with luno CS, it is disheartening to know a "crony" company (I have my reason for this please don't open this can of worms!) continues to hide behind their special status especially after being recognized by the relevant authorities. It is normal for CS to regurgitate the same thing over and over again without actually emphathizing on the nature of the difficulty/complaint because they have been trained in such a way.

mrluno's replies seem reasonable as he's willing to work with you. What remains to be seen is if he follows through his willingness in refunding you the RM15.

I will wait on opening a Luno account. And no, I am not desperate because I have significant holdings outside.

Lol , good one buddy

How about that now that you realize you were being charged by a dishonest and hidden Luno policy?

This is worrying. KPDNKK is your next stop if you want to take it up further by way of complaint.

But knowing you made at least 10-15% profits you would not care, and platforms like Luno use that consumer weakness to continue their illicit hidden hcarges policy

Now yes it is not hidden because it is made available in fine print on the website and under FAQs I suppose it is their standard retort!?

No one cares as long as they are making so much swing profits even better than equity trading so this matter will not really get to the light of day

Aduan KPDNKK if you or anyone else want to pursue

I'd be open to hear your opinion regarding that accusation of Luno being a "crony" company. We've worked extremely hard over the last year in order to gain full approval from the Securities Commission (SC) Malaysia. It involved long hours across multiple teams for both Luno and the SC.

Please realise that you may be breaching two laws: the Penal Code (Section 499) and the Communications & Multimedia Act 1998 (Section 233). Do bring forward any evidence if you have any.

Thanks.

buddy, this is not an avenue to pretend like you are in a board meeting hence I would refrain lawyerly language and/or grandstanding.

the general view is that to get anything done and approved you need to be a crony. I do not have any proof for my thoughts/views (yes they were not accussations)

your naeivety is a slap on any sensible malaysian. If all levels of government and enforcement agency has been infected with some sort of cronyism (as evident by the recent najib audios), why would a special award of license to only 3 companies be any different?

there is something called sentiment, just like how markets move around the world with nothing provable or factual but mostly driven by market sentiments (an example only)
so in this same way, most people (and sensible malaysians) will feel this is the case, IF we dig further we can surely uncover who the board of directors of Luno are and trace their web of sycophancy. I personally have no time and interest to do that.

SO stop your delusional passive aggressive tactics with me buddy/buddies, it will lead you no where.
If you wanna go all lawyerly on me, sure, PM me and I will provide you my real name and IC and we can take this matter via proper channels. I am not a coward hiding behind a forum.

Disagree

I am waiting for prices to stabilize at Dec2019 levels, slightly lower than current prices.

At that time, it was already established that miners will see their revenue halving and those prices supported the revenue-halving statement.

So at least it should reach to stabilize at those levels, then it is a safe entry - unless you're going long at least few months?

Don't forget Luno prices may cut our profits when we sell, so factor that in also.

with the price volatility of bitcoin

I have very specific questions:
1. say the BTC price listed online (internationally) increases 10% is this actually reflected in Luno as 10% or less? I understand there is the factor of USD-MYR conversion, so notwithstanding that conversion I would like to know how much % increase would the actual selling price in Luno show?
2. If I bought x BTC at MYR Px and sold x BTC at MYR 1.2Px by putting it on "queue" . technically making a 20% profit. Under what scenario would I get to fully transfer the 20% to my bank account?
3. Are there "storing" charges for BTC in external wallets or they are stored in Luno itself?

I appreciate those who would reply, i understand it is newbie Q but I prefer to get clarity this way.
