Use a different channel for your 5GHz, preferably something that your neighbour doesn’t use

Lol, my bad, did not read your question correctly. Yes, change to a different channel. Analyze the wireless network in your area.

Anyone have any idea why I'm getting packet lose out in dota 2 with 5ghz but not 2.4ghz connection?

Router : dlink drl850l updated to latest tm firmware

It all depends on your environment.

How far are you from the router?

If far, 2.4Ghz will be more stable, if near 5Ghz will be stable and stronger

Just reply ‘APPT YES yourinfo’ normally. I did mine three weeks ago, and was all good. You won’t get a reply back though.

It's always a good idead to update to the latest firmware
Firmware update fixes bugs, close security loophole, errors in the previous firmware & add new features

Mine is the HG8240H. TM changed it to this in November when my old HG850a stopped working. Then during the RM10 100mbps upgrade a week later they changed it again to another of the same model.
