China already launched (during July 2017) the Hybrid version as their local highest spec variant wheres the 1.5T as low to mid variant.
So I don't think it need to take 3-5 years in order to be introduce locally.
Honda Malaysia is being aggressively upon launching hybrid vehicles lately with the debut of Jazz and City hybrid.
If the 2.0 naturally aspirated Honda CR-V couldn't sell, just throw in the Hybrid or i-DCD / IMA and there you go, the Honda CRV Hybrid.
