Supply chain issue

I was told the car would be ready on 24th September, but until today, there has been no news... all I get is "the car yet to deliver from Honda factory"

Maybe preparing for new facelift...

Besides supply chain issue, most time, they stop production of other cars to prepare for new releases.

Still no news when Civic Facelift will be release, if got within this few months, then that also might be the case.

no wonder no discount given for these two variants. Maybe the lower two variants are overstocks.

My Civic was officially and finally denied warranty by Honda Malaysia after 2nd appeal to them in writing. For windows run channel rubber, due to external tinted. FYI this tinting is a panel in Honda (3M) but in another town which I engage not through dealer.
What I speculate here is Honda Malaysia AND whichever dealer you don’t end up getting tinted thru, will give you a permanent black mark and deny you warranty.
So it’s serious, they will do it if you don’t let them make extra money.

That is to be expected. Some will keep arguing it is OK to do dashcam or tint outside but for peace of mind, I just stick with Honda's. I couldn't be bothered nor the time involved with all those money saving and arguments later.

i dont think the new facelift will be out soon. Baru launch end of 2023.
i strongly believe due to supply issue. or they want to sell of S and E spec 1st. was inform by my SA during early release, honda dah buat banyak stok on E and S spec. However the demand is more into V n RS. and we are reaching year end as well. want to sell before depreciated

Just follow what’s the Honda recommend tyre pressure stated at the driver side door pillar. Or else you can add another 10kpa

The only tint under official Honda is Ecotint Ecobarrier.

Any other so-called tint panels other than the official tints are either through own SA connections or the local dealer's panels.

If warranty affected by unofficial tints installed thru the dealer, it HAS to be claim via the specific dealer that you bought and install the tints from. The dealer's SC might be able to "skip" the tint details when reporting to Honda for claims. However for such dealer installed panels, if you claim in other SC, most likely treated as 3rd party tints. Only Honda Ecobarrier is valid thru all SCs.

However if you install tints that did not go thru that dealer by engaging the tint installer directly, then IT IS NOT EVEN under the local dealer. 100% treated as 3rd party in ALL SCs including the dealer you bought the car from.

That is my understanding so far. Anyway when we decided to go for tint max quality installation outside, we have to already decide to take risk to void any warranties related to it, most likely warranty at the doors. With Honda's stringent warranty claim nowadays, I can risk for daily long term comfort and max protection of 3rd party tints BUT I don't dare to risk the unknown cost of electrical / fuse / car system warranty void when installing dashcam....thus I choose to install the very expensive and subpar Honda dashcam. Small cost if you consider any electrical wiring, fuse even possibly car system issues than Honda can void when touching electrical related warranties.

when drive the car slowly, especially at basement parking, or quite place

when turn the steering, got very low sound and the steering wheel is like juddering

is this steering rack issue ??

My CRV is 6 months old with 6k on odo

Yes this is the steering rack issue. I had it on my Civic FC last time in 2018… same symptom.

Most HM kene every 6 months, 10-15k km. So about there

Based on own experience, warranty claim actually depending on SC. Some SC so taici, told it is normal and cannot claim warranty. But some SC are more than helpful to helps customer claim warranty. My experience, 4S Global Amity Bangi, New Era Kajang and 4S Sg Long Kajang the best for warranty claim, mine claimed 4x driveshaft for Accord, 1x driver side mirror cz vibrating at high speed, skim disc for 2x.

Worst SC faced, Semenyih SC, where the oil/grease leaked from my driveshaft was told it is normal

can elaborate further what happened to windows run channel rubber?
how much it cost?
couldnt claim from tinted shop?

I didn’t notice it for a while but eventually after 6-8 months I saw the rubber crinkle and like potentially can have water leak into the door.

It cost around rm100 to replace at SC.
I don’t have the face to claim as the tinted shop is my father’s friend and this is already a few many months after the installation. Besides he was in Ipoh, I am in Penang most of the time. I’m pretty sure he would be saying not his fault.

On mine.
Before when turning the steering wheel, it is silky smooth turn to turn
Then it sometimes has some resistance to turn at certain random spot. Not all the time. Comes and goes. Some days, silky smooth. Some days, not.

SC confirm it is sterring rack and scheduled for replacement.

Never really pay attention to the steering behavior, until you posted on yours few week back, never thought its going to happen this early

Only notice it when Im at basement parking when I need to make a lot of round and round to find a parking spot

I stick inside the cabin windscreen granted your tint is non metallic. Been using it for 2 years now without a single issue.

The last ever Honda used RADAR is on CRV G5. Then Honda cut cost and uses front camera + front parking sensor only.

Apparently same for x70 facelifted recently. Cut cost for radar and use camera based only. Mazda also similar, camera based only then heard few comments if heavy rain that system become not functioning properly
