QUOTE(DaydreameR @ Sep 30 2019, 09:46 PM) A question to the sifus, I wnet through the thread and found for auto lock to get "obd" and needs wiring. I checked online and found that western crv the auto lock can be set in the settings. I'm wondering whether the car already has the necessary wirings already and its a matter of rooting the system. auto lock is included in the CRV, no need to buy any obd device. That comes to my next question, has anyone tried rooting their crv interface. I've seen online some using autohack dedicated for Honda. Tips and input very much appreciated. just open your car stereo, inside you can setup and change to your preference. and yes, the car audio can be rooted. |

QUOTE(DaydreameR @ Oct 3 2019, 03:13 PM) Maybe ill rephrase. Door autolock when driving. This function is available in other regions. Can Google videos to see it. Our only have door lock when car is switched off ie walk away lock etc... this feature is also available in MY model. you can select lock when driving, when reach certain speed, etc and unlock when switch off or put into Park. all this is available in our head unit |

Better think properly on your tint, if can effort go for the best.
Once done won’t be able to remove and change for a long time Honda tint is not the best around, and the price also high compared to doing it outside. |

I just collected my CRV, may I ask few questions from fellow owners
1 does the car have auto lock when the car move to say 20kmh? My other Honda car have this but for this CRV, don’t have and can’t find it in the system settings 2. Does your car have drawer light? The passenger side drawer, if at night got light or not? Thanks |

QUOTE(shasgen12 @ Aug 3 2022, 05:29 PM) I knw someone will say this..ha ha..but practically almost impossible to follow the rules 100% for me...so decided to used it when driving in highway. One more thing, does the turbo engine requires separate service at separate interval or smthing.. Then you can just off the lane assist. No more steering pullOr you can set it as just giving warning in the setting, no steering action. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Aug 6 2022, 01:08 PM) Windscreen coating i DIY using IGL Glass coating but later I’ll do 9H full coating. No difference if you buy Honda lock nut or buy from outside, same too for umbrella. For Tyre wheel lock NUTS, I bought from Shopee as there is one Honda SA personal account selling it for RM 199 only. I bought from him and install it myself. Is Honda Access genuine product. And the same seller I bought two Honda umbrella 😅 |

QUOTE(selenium @ Sep 7 2022, 04:36 PM) hi all sifoo Driving Dynamics for both rides are totally different.resurrecting this account cause wanted to get some opinion as i am struggling between getting a CRV 1.5 or Civic RS my dilemma is that the Civic RS is a newer car with more updated features while the CRV if not mistaken is a 2018 model but CRV will have a more comfy drive feel (which is what i am told being a SUV) and the waiting time is a little shorter than the Civic CRV is a much bigger car, SUV which has big interior Civic RS will have better ride, more powerful, more direct steering feel and handling, but siting position is slightly on the low side, very stable but it’s a sedan. Leg room is ample but cannot compare with CRV although on the same platform. Very much depends on what you want. I have both type, so I know the difference is huge. All depends on what you want/prefer. Both are leader in their class, so both will not be wrong when you choose. |

QUOTE(Scissorshand @ Sep 8 2022, 03:07 PM) A buddy of mine just got his new 2.0, but now he wants to add in the Honda dashcam was told by SA it's not available on his model. Any truth in that? Installing dash cam, will not effect warranty, do not cut wires. Get people with knowledge to do itHe didn't want to get it outside due to warranty concern...🤦♂️ |

QUOTE(shee1 @ Oct 23 2022, 12:27 PM) Seriously? Thought looping is basic. Guess I might as well tell the SA cancell since they have not installed... what do you mean by no looping?after finish memory won't loop and record again? all dashcam will loop and record again because memory card has limited space. |

QUOTE(chaukeng @ Apr 14 2023, 09:26 PM) I have different opinion, I think the CRV brake is better, having 2 pot design compared to jazzThe last city I had always activate ABS easily, even on bumpy road with mild braking. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Apr 15 2023, 01:22 PM) You felt the brake bite too sudden right? It had some continental car brake feel. For me is good cause during high speed sudden slow down I’m able to brake in time. All this is due to the dual, piston brake caliper, more power is used to generate better brakes. If someone have driven more powerful cars, you will know they bite even stronger. I would prefer better biting brakes than slow biting brakes, which is more for low powered/light cars because they do not need that much friction force to slow down. |

QUOTE(xUeki @ May 8 2023, 01:25 PM) hi guys anyone successfully installed reverse sensor for 2014 CRV. The problem is my dad is getting old and he needs the sensor to beep when reversing. Anyone knows a good aftermarket reverse sensor? I thought 2014 CRV already comes with reverse sensor, even my previous 2010 CRV has it.Are you referring to reverse sensor or camera? |

QUOTE(Rinth @ Aug 17 2023, 09:40 AM) i'm car nerd so i dun think i can DIY myself, and i'm afraid to install at workshop outside later warranty issue. for other think i guess can get at aftermarket. thinking whether the coating & tinted from honda whether worth or not. sure getting coating and tinting job done in Honda is expensive la. they also outsource to people but make big profits.if you look at the warranty thing, you will realize many items only get 1 year warranty |

QUOTE(Rinth @ Sep 4 2023, 03:53 PM) alamak walk away lock - regardless of any brand of cars work like thisand also the walk away lock seems buggy, sometimes lock sometimes didnt.... izit need to wait everyone closed their door, then the 1 with the key only can walk away? - every door need to be closed first - key owner can only walk away. this is different from autolock on car alarm system where the counter will start counting after the last door closes. with walk away lock, the car will scan for the key fob.and if key fob moves futher, it will lock the doors provided all doors are closed. QUOTE(touristking @ Apr 22 2024, 11:31 AM) Many people say this tire no good and was thinking of changing. But I find it perfectly adequate in both dry and wet. May be I seldom drive above 100kph in the wet. Toyo tyre is really lousy lagrip not so good especially if you try genting on the wet, will get a lot of wheel spin tyre also very hard and bumpy, need to reduce air to get more comfortable ride also quite noisy when travelling on highway. |
