That's why when player is desperate to leave, sometimes the club has no other option but to sell. No use keeping someone no matter how good he is but has no desire to stay. It may ruins the team morale. Suarez was sent to train alone when he want to move to arsenal, we gave him a club's record salary to lift his motivation. But when Barca came, we knew that we can't hold him any longer. I hope Keïta is not using us as a stepping stone and pull the same act when bigger team come knocking on the door. (If.. we manage to sign him)
The poaching of our best players by Barca and Real Madrid is not something new to Liverpool. The lure of playing for these two giant Spanish clubs is just too strong to turn down. We can take solace that it's not only Liverpool who is facing this conundrum, but even clubs like Man U and Arsenal, often times, end up in the same predicament.
I mean, who doesn't want to play alongside Messi and Ronaldo given the chance? If I'm a footballer also, I will bite that bleeding hand off, if the offer was made to me.
Another factor that is not favouring Liverpool is that Couts is a South American, and you know SAns love to play in Spain due to their cultural preference or weather if you may.
Even the girls are hotter over there. It will be very very hard to resist Barca.
