QUOTE(sahathai @ Jul 5 2017, 02:43 PM) We promised Milner a central midfielder role but he end up as a LB. Even it's hard for him, he didn't complaint but still give his best. I really don't remember seeing him perform as a CM in Arsenal. Only when he attack from the wing, that's where he impress me a few times. Ox also want a CM role as in his "I always want to be Gerrard" quote.. With Coutinho, Lallana, Can, Gini, Hendo, Grujic, (Keïta?).. I don't think we could give him that much playing time as a CM. If he come and insists on playing in that role, there might be a possibility he would want to jump ship again in the future. But as a winger, he would be good signing especially when mané or Mo need to be rested. I wonder why he's so confident to want to play as CM. |

On the other half of Merseyside, they are having a shopping spree. It seems they will be putting up a good fight next season.
Can't wait for next season, more and more top 4 challenging team! |

QUOTE(genjo @ Jul 20 2017, 06:00 PM) I am not sure, Hendo pretty much did quite a lot of long range passing during international game, but not so much when he played for us. But due to this is a friendly game, I have my doubt, as its may be the Palace playing too leisurely, give opportunity to our forward to run, making the long range pass looks good. |

QUOTE(Lionel90 @ Jul 21 2017, 10:38 AM) Come on, I thought he played quite a number of beautiful and successful over the top passes in the early of last season (16/17)? Before teams start to park the bus that's it. Chill chill, I said not so much, doesn't mean he doesn't do it at all. He did made some impressive long range pass, but I see he did that more during international game.Certainly the man to play the deepest mid role, even if he might need someone to partner him for better defensive protection And yea, if we can get another solid midfielder to partner him, it would be damn nice. |

Does this mean I have to trust Klopp on the signing of Robertson?
Anyway, will he be the starter or backup for Milner? Aside, I thought the rumour of us signing Ox is high last time, so fast fade off d arh. This post has been edited by AnythingK: Jul 22 2017, 10:54 AM |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Jul 25 2017, 11:52 AM) I don't think you watch him very often do you? He offers next to nothing except for scoring. Even when it comes to scoring he blows hot and cold very often. He made some waves when he was scoring for Leverkusen about what a bargain he was and how United were wrong to let him go. But reality is after his short hot streak he went extremely cold and was just terrible for them hence such a low fee and their willingness to let him go. I can only says that he is extremely deadly in goal poaching when he is on form, but invisible when its not his day. The problem with him is consistency, which is a problem for most players. But for 16m, i think its a very very good business for West Ham, atleast he is already proven in PL. |

What the hell is wrong with the market now?
Mbappe 160m? Then does that mean Neymar will be at least 200m? Then Messi and C.Ronaldo must be more than 300m? Crazy R.Madrid.. |

QUOTE(manx @ Jul 26 2017, 08:06 AM) I know the answer for that, most probably he is not well known enough. Doesn't really make much big impact to catch the world's eyes. He's always been with a mid table club anyway. That's why we must keep him for this season at all cost. Make a big impact in the league and CL as well, then we can easily sell him off at >100m next season. Good business here, I bet FSG agree with me. |

This will clearly show FSG and Liverpool ambition in dealing with Coutinho. Selling him means another few years of rebuilding and finding another gem to replace him. There is no way we can buy someone on the same caliber as Coutinho in one month time.
