Hi everyone I just want to ask, if the status says

24 October 2013 Domestic Dispatch
24 October 2013 Internal Process at (MYKULA) KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
24 October 2013 Send item to customs
24 October 2013 International Acceptance(MYKULA) KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Does it mean it has already pass Malaysia's custom and will be going into our local postal delivery soon? Another tracking site seems to state that it has left the post office but I can't find anything from Pos Malaysia's tracking system  sweat.gif

Also I saw that link that states there's added Kos Tambang Dagangan for courier services, is EMS considered courier?

Thanks  notworthy.gif

I am looking to buy this Samsung SE-506BB/TSBD 6X USB2.0 External Slim Blu-ray Writer Drive
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AO1XFM...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER

So checking through the tariff list, I find that the most probable HS code would be 8471.70 300 - optical disk drives, including CD-ROM drives, DVD drives and CD-R drives. And there is no sales tax listd under this tariff code.

So I just want to confirm whether I got this correct, and if I was mistaken, please point me to the correct HS code and tell me how much is the tax/duty for this item.

First time attempting to buy this. Appreciate any input anyone can give me. Thank you.

(oh, and if anyone know if I can get this locally? so far I haven't found a seller yet for this particular item)

Hello,

does anyone know anything about importing sugar? Im looking to bring in about 50kg of a type of french sugar for baking.
Apparently, a permit is required from the ministry of international trade. What about other taxes? From what I check, there is no tax listed from the tariff list....

Hi,

My friend from korea sent me some cosmetics as gift.
The declared value plus shipping fee is far below 500 RM.
But today I got letter from post office that said that I have to pick up my parcel and bring invoice and proof of purchase.
But it's a gift and my friend doesn't even have any invoice sad.gif
She bought them long time ago so she threw it away.
If I explain it to the custom officer, I don't have to pay tax right?
As far as I know custometic won't kena tax eh?
So frustratring cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif
Btw, she sent me so many various kinds of cosmetics. more than 10 different kinds but each kind only 1 pc. cry.gif

Just explain to the custom officer regarding the real situation. Tell them they are all used items.

I order 1 IPTV decoder online from china. Worth RM650. For my personal usage

I know i will kena tax if i am not lucky.
I know i will need to apply permit from Sirim, for my case is it special permit or AP? RM100 or RM250.

Since i need to apply permit, I am thinking to buy another.
Is the price of permit the same if i put it both in 1 shipment?

thank you

Hi guys. I recently ordered a PS3 video game via play-asia and using FedEx. The total cost for everything including shipping is RM 287, and the item weight is 0.2kg.

I heard that I will have to pay tax if using FedEx, and have read some of the previous pages. Is there a chance that I will still be taxed because my item's value may exceed RM 500? If it's possible, can someone help me estimate the total value of the item?

Thanks.

If you have the invoice from playasia there is nothing to be worried about.

as for the bolded words. Only custom can do that. (only if your parcel is huge)

dont worry too much
