Hi I want to ask, I'm planning to buy a video game collector set from Amazon, the price will be $152.99 for the set itself. The cheapest shipping that they allow me is the Expedited shipping which is $19.99. I have a few question:

1) Will I get taxed? If yes, will it be taxed according to the price of the set or set+shipping?
2) What is the tax rate?
3) Is expedited shipping reliable?

Thank you smile.gif

Hi everyone I just want to ask, if the status says

24 October 2013 Domestic Dispatch
24 October 2013 Internal Process at (MYKULA) KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
24 October 2013 Send item to customs
24 October 2013 International Acceptance(MYKULA) KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Does it mean it has already pass Malaysia's custom and will be going into our local postal delivery soon? Another tracking site seems to state that it has left the post office but I can't find anything from Pos Malaysia's tracking system sweat.gif

Also I saw that link that states there's added Kos Tambang Dagangan for courier services, is EMS considered courier?

Thanks notworthy.gif

Ehh so it's still at custom? shocking.gif That's a weird status to use. Hopefully it will get through fine, I still have two more orders coming, this is worrying. The status still hasn't change sad.gif

I'm importing about 15-20 secondhand books from overseas and the cheapest shipping option is DHL. I'm a bit worried about whether it'll get stopped at custom.

I know importing books has no custom/sales tax but do they stop it if it's above RM500 including shipping or do they add the 'kos tambang dagangan' since I'm using courier?

Thanks a lot icon_rolleyes.gif

No all my parcels have already passed custom now with no tax but none of them are EMS, they're all airmail and DHL sweat.gif I wanted to go EMS but I'm still hesitating incase kena added courier charges. Some say EMS is courier, others say it's normal post unsure.gif
