your invoice included shipping charges i never face this problem before. Shipping from US,UK and Japan and never got taxed with the extra charges like the topic you posted.

The only time I got taxed is from US due to the size even though my item cost around RM400. They declared RM600++

My shipping charge is 9 USD which is about RM 29. Altogether with the game the item is worth RM 287.

The Kos Tambang Dagangan apparently quite new and only affects courier services like FedEX. I read that to be safe, the item has to have a total price of RM 178 or below, but I didn't know about this until I looked it up.

Anyway package is only a single game and scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so we will see.

If based on the chart your item will be RM287 + RM322.15

tax for games are 10% sales tax so you will be paying around MYR60-MYR65 if not wrong.

Ya, best to prepare that much just in case. I heard that some people didn't get the tax with items that are valued below RM 300 without the Kos Tambang Dagangan, but I don't want to risk it.

Hi I bought a Nexus 5 from ebay and price + shipping is bout 490USD. Checked on dutycalculator and it says that I am exempted from any tax. But I know it shouldn't be this easy so guys what would the tax be like? HS code is 851712000 I think..

Guys, I bought a car dvr from Aliexpress for USD140 received by Fedex and then sent it back for replacement, now that a replacement arrived, it was held by customs.

So, since this will be the first time I will visiting custom to clear my item, what should I be aware of?

I recently ordered a figurine that is 7000 yen (roughly RM220) inclusive of shipping.

but then now when i tracked it (under pos daftar, coz i used SAL shipping)
it is written

" Item held by customs for OTHERS "
( dated 6/12/2013)

What does that mean?
I doubt it'll be taxed because it is less than RM500.
I've yet to receive any letters concerning this issue too from Pos Malaysia.

Please help.

Because today Fedex came to my house and said the same thing too, and i'm shocked.
They said my item has been taxed for RM195.25, it is an ipad screen protector costs RM320 including shipping from US.
