Watches are taxable items. 20% of the declared amount will be imposed.
Not taxable but might subject to get an AP approval from SIRIM

I've helped customers to import both watches and laptops.

No duty & tax on both items.
No permit or what so ever required.

Watches Tariff Code:

i spoke to Tn Martin from Custom and this is what he said

" Laptop and computers DOESNT have any taxes on it"

I went and asked FedEx (they have a special hotline for customs tariff), and this is what Desmond said

"Laptop and compuerts DOESNT have any taxes on it. Make sure that the sender declare as

Laptop & Accessories - 1 unit

NOT

Laptop - 1 unit
Battery - 1 unit
etc...

cause battery are taxable..."

So in a nutshell, Customs and FedEx told me that laptop and computers from overseas are NOT taxable....

Hi Guys,

I need some advice here. I just ordered an iphone from us. It was send to Malaysia using Priority Mail International.. I am able to track the pasckage. Here is the result.

Out of Foreign Customs, April 04, 2008, 3:11 pm, MALAYSIA
Arrived Abroad, April 04, 2008, 11:41 am, MALAYSIA
International Dispatch, March 31, 2008, 2:38 pm, O'HARE APT/CHICAGO
Acceptance, March 29, 2008, 1:34 pm, JEFFERSON CITY, MO 65109

I noticed that there is missing a Into Foreign Custom...
Does the Out of Foreign custom means my item was cleared from Custom??

Please Advice..

Thanks....

^If it says out of custom usually it meant that the items is cleared but you should have received your items by now.
Or maybe you will get it by Monday. Advice is just to wait either for the phone or for the notice to pick-up at customs sweat.gif

Yupe, that should mean cleared already. you should get it by tomorrow.
I've often get package from Korea and if the tracking said out of custom for example today. I usually get the package the next day.

if i bought some branded shoe from oversea , do i have to pay the tax?if yes how much ?
and the tax i should pay myself to the custom or i pay to the one i bought the shoe from . And if my item being seized from the custom, they will inform me abt it? The seller will mark the parcel as a gift and put a reasonable value on it.

Edit: I got it taxless. Marked as gift and declared to USD$20 only.

I've understood that figurines are taxed 5%. However, are they taxed by the total cost of product+shipping cost+etc?
I'm planning to preorder Yamato's Noyamano Ringo which comes out in August... its kinda ecchi-ish. Ok, i admit it IS hentai-ish but not as dirty as others imho.
Do you ppl think can bawa masuk or cannot? I've a feeling that it'll be confiscated and I really don't wanna rugi getting it and only to be confiscated... duit terbang. any ideas to get around this?
