I got a warning letter that importing them needs license and i will get fine or go to jail.

Hi guys,

As far as I know, if my items get detained by customs, I have an option to pay RM49.50 to assign Pos Malaysia as my agent to collect the parcel on my behalf. So far I know that it applies for Butterworth Customs.

Does it also apply to KLIA customs?

Thanks!

Nail polish are classified under DANGEROUS GOODS in shipping maritime, as they're flammable to certain extend.
License is control by Biro Pharmaceutical.

You may use 847180000 (FREETAXES), subject to SIRIM approval

What about some nylon bags, not leather bags? what is the HS code and whether they will be taxed if total is above RM500?

Edit:
Just called Kastam, they told me that 10% sales tax imposed to import of bags of RM500 and above (all-in charges include shipping). And this only applies if you use courier service, if you use insured standard mail, they will charge 10% even though the value is below RM500! shakehead.gif

Exactly!

As all the previous and earlier posts mentioned,
build a business with the right Shipping Partner, let them handle their forte and you concentrate on yours.

In other words, and for business purposes: you'll need a Shipping Partner.

(A)
For small parcel- boxes, SOHO, shopping items, from overseas, TaoBao, Ebay, AliBaba which fancies Air Freighted cargo / Courier; or,

You're absolutely right, it's only 10% will be imposed, the value of >500 only will be taxable legally, but still depending on the assessment officer
whether he is fussy or just "Cincai" type...btw you got the answer smile.gif
