Hi, i just call them & ask & tell them i asked many people who import same thing but not get tax. Then they say my item is more than RM500, so what advice do you guy give ? Should i go there to see the officer or pay RM200 tax & collect my item at Shah Alam.

okay i have a question...i read and understand (properly)..tax only charge if value more than rm500..lets say i bought a camera accessory with value more than rm500...will be tax here? iirc the tariff code is 9002

I ordered a headphone last week from ebay, they emailed me and said is been shipped on last wednesday and the shipment should be here in less than a week.
But until now I still not yet get the parcel or any letter from custom that my item is being held. (they shipment doesn't provide online tracking)

The customs not just calculate the value of the item . They calculate that ur item with shipping fee is less than RM 500 then no tax . Camera accessories like lens is tax free

headphone got 10% sales tax + 5% import duty, this is last time what i've been paid for my earphone worth more than rm500. but now im just using DHL, until now (3 shipments edi) no kena tax

fyi, it's bad to buy item and using mail that doesnt have tracking number.... there's a lot of ppl got conned for that.. waiting for 1 month no parcel arrived, what actual happen is the seller does not ship the item at all.

Added on March 2, 2011, 3:06 pmyup, u have to go to PPL (pusat pos laju) in Ipoh to get your item, or might need to pay for tax depends on the value ... dont forget bring your invoice too , if bought online, just print screen the transaction page or any proof of payment.

or if u malas, just call pos laju to be your agent, they will charge you rm49.50 exclude the tax.

but then.. the supplier, which i bought the goods from her, wrote down that, the parcel is worth for 20USD. and stated that is a gift.
but actually i bought it for US112 = RM351 .. so what should i do?
tell the custom, i bought it and show invoice or just tell them is a gift??

always same case as mine, my supplier also always stated less than actual price...

Just show the kastam your actually invoice, below rm500 no tax. dont worry. unless it is above rm500 than u can create ur own invoice

my item has been hold by custom and i need to clear and i wan to use posmalaysia service .. can i know how much the fee ++ time to clear after i send the form back to pos malaysia?
