Setel already?
*
yup setel yesterday. no tax (below rm500) rclxms.gif at first the custom cannot trust my declare value because it's too cheap compare to the retail price found on the internet (they surf the net to check the price). but then i show them the print screen of my transaction, then he believe.

as long you bring the print screen of the transaction (online), all will be ok.

one more thing, is the pos/kastam open on saturday? coz i work on the weekdays, and dont have much time to go there every week. huhuh

Added on February 17, 2011, 4:47 pmi got 1 more situation, i have package sent from china using DHL, the price i bought is 4x cheaper that retail price (regular customer). currently i dont know if the seller put the actual value or not on the package, because before this the seller just use ems and just declare as gift.

so the problem is, what if the seller not put/declare the real value on the DHL package, will DHL pay for the tax by retail price or they will contact me first?

u should receive a letter/call from pos regarding ur item being held by custom or u can directly go there if u know the reference number. or maybe u can call kastam/pos klia to know bout ur item.

if u already have the reference number, then just go to the pos malaysia lcct to claim ur item la why wait? lol, they will ask ur reference number tho... then u have to open the package infront of the kastam officer to show what's inside.

ya, i also don think that mobile phone case cause me 30% tax. But i think it due to they open my parcel & saw the bill cost 500usd so they instead want to kacau me.
So do you know any tariff code for it to declare ?
*
mobile phone case should be no tax, u can just go to kastam ask them why? sometimes they just want to know wat's inside because ur box is big and heavy maybe and also if the box dont have any declaration, kastam always tahan that, mine always kene, but I just go there and open infornt of the officer, show the invoice, setel. no worry, just go there and ask them. if they want to tax u, then ask them to show under what tariff code.

easier, u just go to the kastam... and clarify to them what actually u are bring in. dont worry, the kastam officers r friendly, from my experience la. just open the box infront of them (eventhou they already open it) and tell them wat's inside and show them how do u use it. that's it. if u j ust contact them tru phone, fax, i think it lotsa difficult to both party to understand.

I ordered a headphone last week from ebay, they emailed me and said is been shipped on last wednesday and the shipment should be here in less than a week.
But until now I still not yet get the parcel or any letter from custom that my item is being held. (they shipment doesn't provide online tracking)

is there anyway to know where's my parcel??

and does dj headphone over rm500 will be taxed??  I checked the custom site but not really understand how the system worked~
*
headphone got 10% sales tax + 5% import duty, this is last time what i've been paid for my earphone worth more than rm500. but now im just using DHL, until now (3 shipments edi) no kena tax rclxm9.gif

fyi, it's bad to buy item and using mail that doesnt have tracking number.... there's a lot of ppl got conned for that.. waiting for 1 month no parcel arrived, what actual happen is the seller does not ship the item at all.

yup, u have to go to PPL (pusat pos laju) in Ipoh to get your item, or might need to pay for tax depends on the value smile.gif ... dont forget bring your invoice too , if bought online, just print screen the transaction page or any proof of payment.

or if u malas, just call pos laju to be your agent, they will charge you rm49.50 exclude the tax.
