So investigations do give you more rewards? I always wonder what they are for. Hehe.
it's intentional. and also give some kind of motivation to get u to farm, that is why if u want to go farming, choose investigation quest that give u at least 1 gold slot.
And also, investigation quest can give u challenges, like 15 minute quest time or 0 faint quest. BUT, if u do this kind of investigation quest with 2 - 3 modifiers (for example 15 minute + 0 faint), u will have a chance to encounter either largest/smallest monster so it's good for those who want to hunt for those largest/smallest crown.

Oh cool, I didn't know. I never noticed the conditions change too until yesterday. Did a capture Ajanath quest and turned out only had 30 minutes. like wtf. Haha, yes it might not be a big deal when season players are more used to hunting, but being new to the title and low rank, I need about 20 minutes average, luckily getting better. HAHA! At least can take down Ajanath now. Had some troubles with it, I thought lance was supposed to be OP and safe, but couldn't last a single minute. Went back to my trusty sword and shield that got me out of hard mob many many many times.

Charged blade is the best for me,Can use for high damage in axe form and mobility in shield and sword mode, but very complicated to master.

I tried all 14 weapons, only sword and shield works the best for me. I mean I could kill much easier and faster with this weapon than anything else, so the efficiency is there. Now I am working on the elements to make DPS faster.
By the way, I do have problems with the aiming though, for an example I try to get my shield bash into the monster heads, but the aim always goes way off. and sometimes when im hitting the tails, i am slashing through thin air, how to deal with that? And what camera setting to use? I don't like R3, i realised it brings me to hit other places, like I want to hit the tails and my character goes off and hits the head which sometimes got me killed cause I don't want to be there at the moment!

In my opinion, it's one of the stupidest things in Monster Hunter World. The sure thing is face directly or face in-tangent to the monster you are whacking.
Hope they'll refine this combat mechanic for future series.

I only use R3 when the monster is agile like tobi kadachi.

Disable auto aim. I usually don't lock camera with monster, very bad habit when you need to be aware of your location. Getting cornered is cart.

Yeah, learned it the hard way with Ajanath. lol. Want to hit the tail, but the R3 kept locking on Head, my character always ends up going near its head and getting bitten and tossed around. LOL! It has 3 lock points for that mob itself.

The camera is the same since long ps1 & psp monster hunter and I glad it is the same. Now they include focus to help some new player but I think that's not suitable for this kind of action where you need to hit specific sport to break parts.
Tempered kirin 1 zap me die....farkk....how much thunder resistance is enough for him...zzz
20 is good enough. Kirin is a test of patient. Play it like chess and take turn, he attack, you dodge and wait for your turn. Don't be greedy with combo. Use Vit decor if you have them for 200hp.

use gunlance,
please guard yourself with your gunlance.
You need one Shield Jewel and 5 Iron wall Jewels, or use Uragaan amor set if you don't have shield jewel. Shield Jewel just has one level for your Guard Up skill and you need Ironwall Jewel to boost your Guard skill up to lv5 max. You also can equip an Ironside Charm III to save up your jewel slots up to 3 pcs.
You does not need any thunder resist armors because you are considered as God Mode during you guard yourself in defense mode. Make sure you must keep press R2 to guard yourself for protection against the thunder.
Don't dodge the thunder during you attack the tempered kirin, just keep pressing R2 and triangle together when you get chances to hit its head. Stop to hit its head during it's releasing thunder attack.

tempered kirin is only best for solo with gunlance, not suggest to kill in multiplayer mode.
Yep. PuG team either hit or miss. If you are lucky, you will be in a very competent kirin slayer PuG team. if unlucky and getting incompetent team, you will fail the mission within 3 minutes. Only kirin tempered I will be 50-50 doing multiplayer. Failed alot of temp kirin but have one very good run with superb PuG.
I bleed it out, Diggin' deeper just to throw it away!

Gunlance + Uragaan armor set = God mode
was tired of getting one shot by nergi dive, and kirin zap, created it last week, now I just stand there & R2 whenever Nergi dive while my teammate scrambling away Not a scratch! but wasn't very good against those flying wyvern like Rathalos & Rathian without spamming flash
