Hi guys,
Appreciate your advice.
I am browsing for cordless power tools ( drill, grinder, sander)
for DIY home renovation. Is recommended Milwaukee by friends. Use it for some minor works and get really impressed by the solid build compared to bosch/dewalt/makita/Black decker & the battery interchangeability.
Milwaukee IS Pricey.
I found a new brand TOTAL, that looks like milwaukee ripoff.
From shopee/lazada lol.
Anyone used TOTAL brand? Are they good?
Or any other recommended brand?
Don't mind paying a bit more for
premium performance & reliability and the battery ecosystem (same battery/same charger/etc)
You are located in MY?
Here in MY Bosch stuff is cheaper than Makita, because Made-in-MY. The solo tool is actually quite affordable but you need to invest in that battery ecosystem (i.e. at least one battery + charger).
Cordless tool basically only as good as the battery backing it.
Battery interchangeability? I think its is a non issue.

For Bosch 18V battery it works for all Bosch 18V tool.
Same for Makita I think.. 18V stuff should work fine with 18V battery from the same brand.
Hikoki, Metabo also good stuff, but for one off project kinda overkill.
Bosch got few grade of tool..the blue line is split into Heavy Duty line will stand up to abuse better than the normal blue stuff or green homeowner grade. If wanna collect.. Amazon JP got pink, red, purple makita which I REGRET going Bosch because Bosch 18V only come in that standard blue colour

Had i known about that Pink/Red makitas before getting on the Bosch 18V ecosystem i might have went that side

Drill driver GSB or GSR180 works great as screwdriver. I dont recommend the 12V line coz two voltages 12V n 18V need more investment in battery n charger but there are some cute 12V tools like the mini grinder that lucifah here used for tight spots and it works great in places where using corded 230V or 18V full size tool won't fit.
Drill concrete cordless basically GBH180Li rotohammer work great for 6mm 10mm concrete holes..if you do serious wall delete then get a corded demo hammer instead for demolishing.
Price-Performance wise corded grinder below RM110 with some free discs cannot be beat lah. My dad ex co is a metal foundry they use the Bosch bigger grinders with 7in disc heavily everyday..so I bought the standard GWS060 and very happy with it, grinder need to use with 3000% respect for the tool. Cordless grinder seem expensive unless you have a real use for the cordless function and this eats batteries.
Sander.. for painting? The palm sander corded keeps on going & pretty cheap about RM140..if cordless you should be able to squeeze an hour out of the 4AH for GEX18V-125. I used the older model of the GEX270AE to sand the shit out of my 20 year old wall paint to bare cement in order to be able to repaint the wall as the old paint just ripped off when I try to paint over it, gunked the roller. Created desert storm clouds of dust, burnt thru heaps of coarse sandpaper, mamak stall ppl look at me funny when i dapao lunch all dusted like a madwoman
