I guess it is like buying 4D. If you are lucky, it will serve you for some time but if you're not then prepare to throw it away.

Buying China with unknown brand name that change every month is like gambling. Lucky if you can find spare part. The battery also need to know if compatible with any known brand, else become useless.

Now even known brand are amused by these toy. Name like Stihl even made one but some of them uttered disappointment because it broke down  laugh.gif

I wonder what battery pack is compatible.

It is not the voltage. If the motor can accept 20V, then you cannot use 48V for example. How long it will last depends on the ampere. I saw option for 6A battery but cannot find any shop that sell the battery only.

How long it will last depends on what you cut and motor power.

I will also be concern about the quality of the aluminium pole .... whether it can take the pressure when pressing the chainsaw on a thicker trunk.

Any type of cutter or saw, one need to exert some hand pressure to go through.

Cutting a wet and dry branch or trunk is also different pressure.

The weak section is the connector part.

Just last week, I did trimming for my fruit trees using the manual pole saw.

I believe the pole is pretty standard like those painters pole that you can buy from Mr. DIY.

Stainless steel is heavy. YOu want to use your energy to cut branches, not lift pole laugh.gif

My other friends who own hobby orchard also uses the manual extendable pole saw to trim branches and also pole netting to pluck fruits.

There are few types in the market. I am not sure which type is yours. Mine is the zig zag teeth and it cut easier compare to a straight row teeth.

I am not sure the purpose of your purchase. If is just one off job every few months, then treat the chainsaw as a fun 'toy' and it should be ok.

There are 2 main type of blade. Once is for cross-cut and one for ripping. Like its name said, one is to cut across the wood grain and the other is to rip along wood grain. If you cut branch with ripping blade of course it will be harder. wink.gif
