There is another brand that make many interesting 18v tools.
RYOBI, and I'm surprise its a japanese brand.
Their target market is home DIY thus the cheap price and battery format that never change for 20 years.
Many used ryobi tool available in taobao  brows.gif

Ryobi is not new brand. This brand been here for over 20yrs. But not that famous here. It is made in japan.

I have Ryobi orbiter sander. But don't last long. The center bolt easy loose out and the velcro grib doesn't last long. Throw away.

I still have the Ryobi 800W circular saw and the Ryobi chain saw in my store.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Used or fake... hmm. Sometime taobao is really flooded with fake items
*
I won't get branded thing from China. It actually not cheap given the China tax heavy on import item.

What you see the brand thing cheap in china is the china version which made in china.

This is to avoid the import tax and make it cheaper for the china market. The item might not similar to the outside market.

I have experience where try to get a support from japan the item. Cause there is no english version. Mana tahu it is only for china. And worst, it is a display monitor which is only chinese language.

Taobao can be an awesome place to source for items if you know Chinese.
For electronics the interface and user manual can be a big problem.

I go in headache. rclxub.gif

Reading the information given like take me a day. biggrin.gif

Mostly brought is a technical thing. Information detail and specification is very important to me.

So I still prefer ebay and ali even it slightly expensive.

QUOTE(Richard @ Jun 4 2017, 04:55 AM)
guys,

I need to buy a drill to make a 75mm dia hole through a double brick wall..

I only have a Bosch 550 GRE.. What else do I need to buy ? and where?
Hardware masonery bits only make small holes..

I am looking to buy online or can anyone sell a spare 75mm dia hole maker to me?
*
That is big hole.

Forget the bosch 550gre for such a big hole.

Even my Bosch 16re 700w bore a 100mm hole on the wood, like struggling. Hole drill freaking hot. Lastly have to use the makita rotary drill to finish up the job.

You can use concrete bore hole saw. Either diamond tip or tungsten carbide teeth. Need at least Makita rotary drill minimun requirement spec.

You need to take time to bore and not hurry. Drill and stop with plenty of water to cold down the tip.

Hole bore saw

no more makita distributor for my. it's direct makita principal. few of the hardware shop owner that I know went for their conference last week...they will bring in more variety here but the price is... bye.gif. if no volume order means no discount price for dealer so end of the day we end user are paying high price for it  ranting.gif
*
Makita should not compete with the low tech junkyard power tools.

Since they have the technology, robust, better spec and more variety of tools, should distinct themselve from the rest.

Makita mainly target and use by industrial and contractor in local.

Like HILTI power tools, they are target higher market and not lower market.

Saw this Worx hydroshot spray. Seems useful for light duty cleaning of window/car/car posh without dragging out the pressure washer.
Not too powerful till strip paint off.
Another thing that Malaysia market don't have.  dry.gif

*
A bit expensive side. RM540 + delivery...maybe ~RM700. Wait for Amazon sale.

Maybe I just drag out my karcher pressure washer and permanently put at outdoor. That reduce abit of my laziness. biggrin.gif

The Worx 20V battery is actually a 18V spec. Don't understand why they fancy put 20V name on it. (same like Makita 10.8v=12v)

18V make up of 5pcs lithium cell equal to 3.6v/cell. That is normal lithium battery voltage.

20V doesn't makesense equal to any number of cell and voltage.

marketing strategy la

just like dewalt use 20V max for US market

20 is always better than 18, rite?

same also with 12V, actually it's 10.8V

Bosch used to label them 10.8V until la some other company use that marketing technique. in the end, everybody end up with 12V label, though it's actually and technically 10.8V (3x3.6V)

LOL
btw, 18V is 5x3.6V, 1 cell is 3.6V

Buy the Worx tool without the battery. --> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYPHUSI/ref=tw...ding=UTF8&psc=1

Only cost US79.

Modify it to use on bosch battery.

Done.

Amazon... The shipping is the thing that kills everything.  mad.gif

Price:  $105.49 + $45.09 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Malaysia Details
You Save:  $14.50 (12%)

Will the opening of Amazon in Singapore solve the expensive shipping problem?  whistling.gif
*
Ya, the shipping cost is killing.

I only buy at amazon when there is no other choice.

Why Amazon open sg will cost less in shipping? Thing still come from original source.

But will it cost more when it need to go to sg hub 1st before out to the same region?

Depends on how they plan their logistics.
Amazon can open store at Singapore while putting the warehouse in Malaysia, Malaysia has plenty of land to build warehouse. Alibaba's warehouse in Sepang probably will operate on the same concept.

Many things Amazon sells are made in China anyway, they can drop some of it in Malaysia warehouse instead of shipping everything to USA.
When you order from Amazon the shipping calculator will calculate base on shipping from Malaysia warehouse depending on stock availability.
*
Don't think Amazon will stock thing in warehouse. How they know what to store since it million of million thing selling. Amazon operate like any others online shopping. They send instruct to the source.

It is not new that many company open hub in sg and store their product in sg. Cause sg have free tax if the thing are not sell in sg. Many of my supplier have the hub in sg for very longtime.

Would a normal US parcel cheaper if send to US address 1st before out to here?

But Amazon have tax on US address.

Is that free tax thing call bonded warehouse?

Well, Amazon can send delivery instruction directly to the Manufacturer in China.  biggrin.gif
Still cheaper than flying half the planet from USA to Malaysia.
*
Not sure what it called. They didn't tell me the warehouse name.

Mostly will tell me they have the warehouse in sg to speed up the delivery in this region.

Last time I use to buy in Amazon during sale. Than ship to US address. Either keep there till I bring it back. Or Ship back when accumulated more than 100lb. Either way is cheap. But will take longtime before I can enjoy the thing.

Nowaday, don't care much the shipping if I need it urgent from amazon.

After read the review, i doubt is going to be strong power. Better use back the traditional ones.

It is like for a quick fast flush clean thing. Not for serious harden stuff cleaning.

Best for me wash my shoe, outdoor stuff and a quick fluch out dirt from the car.

Good for lady use too. If ask them drag the karcher out, forget it.
