That's totally terrible and especially no notification or bill or email to my side on this outstanding. Just one handphone number telling me pay Sialcom. No wonder these telcos get screwed by MCMC frequently.
Anyway not going to accept that they can still bill me full after termination. Gonna make live hell for them since their stupid blacklist screwed me over many times.

When I terminated my Celcom Broadband line in 2016, the officer at the Blue Cube centre told me to come back in one month's time to check if any outstanding charges were filed against my IC. He said a lot of people were caught out by Celcom's practices.

Which further justify Sialcom...
I switch out from Digi, Maxis post paid 2 to 3 times each. Everytime they either let me through with no further oustanding or ask me clear outstanding before authorizing the port.
Go one time with Sialcom and this happens. No wonder MCMC fine these people like hell.
It’s postpaid. You use the service and they bill you later. That is the reason why there is one last bill after you have ported out and this kind of practice isn’t unique to Celcom. If you are using postpaid service, it is the same with Maxis and Digi too. I switch out from Digi, Maxis post paid 2 to 3 times each. When you port-out, the outstanding you may see is from your last statement date, which from date of issue, you have up to one month to clear the bill before they bar your line. You could have used the service for a few more days or even weeks after the last statement was generated. That is why there is still one statement you need to clear after you have ported out.
