That's totally terrible and especially no notification or bill or email to my side on this outstanding. Just one handphone number telling me pay Sialcom. No wonder these telcos get screwed by MCMC frequently.

Anyway not going to accept that they can still bill me full after termination. Gonna make live hell for them since their stupid blacklist screwed me over many times.

When I terminated my Celcom Broadband line in 2016, the officer at the Blue Cube centre told me to come back in one month's time to check if any outstanding charges were filed against my IC.  He said a lot of people were caught out by Celcom's practices.

QUOTE(Mixxomon @ Dec 4 2020, 03:22 PM)
Which further justify Sialcom...

I switch out from Digi, Maxis post paid 2 to 3 times each. Everytime they either let me through with no further oustanding or ask me clear outstanding before authorizing the port.

Go one time with Sialcom and this happens. No wonder MCMC fine these people like hell.
*
It’s postpaid. You use the service and they bill you later. That is the reason why there is one last bill after you have ported out and this kind of practice isn’t unique to Celcom. If you are using postpaid service, it is the same with Maxis and Digi too.

When you port-out, the outstanding you may see is from your last statement date, which from date of issue, you have up to one month to clear the bill before they bar your line. You could have used the service for a few more days or even weeks after the last statement was generated. That is why there is still one statement you need to clear after you have ported out.

Celcom didn't used to pro-rate the last bill (whole month cycle charged) and there was uncertainty as to how much the final bill was going to be. And they never bothered to reach out to the customer who had just left them to inform the individual whether there was outstanding charges or credit.

So not the same as other telcos.

Oh yes. It is true that Celcom doesn’t calculate the last bill on pro-rata basis. I however, do not know if thing has changed since because last time I had a Celcom postpaid was in 2016.

However, Maxis and Digi don’t put much effort in reaching out to you either. I was blacklisted by Maxis once after I failed to pay RM12+ for a line I terminated two month earlier last time. The terminated line was registered as a mainline under different account number and in their record, they had my main line (a Digi line) on file and my primary Maxis line was active (well, still active now too). Despite having registered for eBill, for some reason, I never received the bill and nobody called me either. I only found out when I tried to register a new supplementary line for my still active Maxis mainline. So since then, I put a reminder on my phone to follow-up the last bill myself to prevent myself from getting blacklisted unnecessarily again.

So in the end, they are the same. That you have one last bill you have to follow-up yourself because it’s a postpaid service.

Now you use celcom prepaid. Don't buy reload which cost you rm35 for rm35 credit.

You can go to buy celcom share in shopee. Is much cheaper.

There are more than 10 percent discount for celcom share in shopee. Then get the share credit and buy the data package and activate for another 30days.

Save money by using celcom share.

Share celcom only 3 day validity.

Example .
When your sim validity expired at 4th December , and you buy celcom share, your validity will until 7th December.

When you buy monthly data package, it will extend to 4th January 2021 with you celcom credit .

Hi guys,

Just to ask for some advise. I have a number (Already MNP from celcom to Maxis) which accidentally terminated due to forgot top up before the termination date. Last few weeks I visit to the celcom blue cube centre and the staff said that the number will be quarantine for 6 months. but I realise someone is using the number now. (Less than 1 month) this is celcom fault? since the staff said the number will be quarantine for 6 months?
