QUOTE(judehow @ Jun 10 2018, 12:52 AM) Yup, but why should celcom need so many apps like xpax apps and celcom postpaid apps and lastly celcom life apps don't you think this confusing for customer😅? Believe you did not read my post correctly. I wrote I don’t know how it works for Celcom and Xpax as I am new to the Celcom Life app. I did not suggest Celcom should have an app for Celcom Postpaid and another app for Xpax |

QUOTE(MakNok @ Jun 10 2018, 10:32 AM) Noted. Thanks. I had just successfully ported a number to Xpax yesterday. The name of the plan is Xpax RM10 (MNP). It comes with RM6.60 of free credit.QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 10 2018, 11:39 AM) Yes. That's how I discovered I have a number which never dies after 1 1/2 years even I didn't do anything to it, recently expired finally. Even Celcom staffs were puzzled how this plan exists. I got it when I bought a super cheap 4G phone. Noted. Thanks. I shall port-in two more numbers to Xpax by the end of this month. Great to know it is possible to view all numbers registered to my NRIC under a single login unlike Hotlink Red. Currently I couldn’t see any other number in the Celcom Life app other than the number I just activated yesterday. So I guess there is no unknown SIM illegally registered under my NRIC with Celcom. |

QUOTE(nouptime @ Nov 9 2020, 09:12 PM) I'm on the legacy First Blue plan and my internet speed has been total shite for a long time, averaging 2-3 Mbps at best. There is no speed cap on Celcom First Blue plan. My question is, any idea if this plan has a lower speed cap compared to the newer Mega Unlimited or Lighting plans? I always believed telcos downthrottle the cheaper plans but I could be wrong 🤔 By the way, you may want to check out Xpax Postpaid that gives out better value for the money paid. nouptime liked this post

Just want to confirm with existing Celcom MEGA Unlimited M/L pass subscribers that the stated capped speed of 5Mbps for Unlimited M pass and 15Mbps for Unlimited L pass are only for video streaming is it ? If you do a speedtest on Ookla it will still show high speed ?

QUOTE(isr25 @ Nov 22 2020, 05:35 AM) Thanks for the video. But as the previous posted pointed out, what the fella said is misleading because he’s in fact using Celcom MEGA Unlimited L, not lightning. But thanks for the video anyway. Safe to say the speed cap is on video streaming site only. isr25 liked this post

QUOTE(Mixxomon @ Dec 4 2020, 11:26 AM) That's totally terrible and especially no notification or bill or email to my side on this outstanding. Just one handphone number telling me pay Sialcom. No wonder these telcos get screwed by MCMC frequently. Anyway not going to accept that they can still bill me full after termination. Gonna make live hell for them since their stupid blacklist screwed me over many times. QUOTE(tympg @ Dec 4 2020, 03:12 PM) When I terminated my Celcom Broadband line in 2016, the officer at the Blue Cube centre told me to come back in one month's time to check if any outstanding charges were filed against my IC. He said a lot of people were caught out by Celcom's practices. QUOTE(Mixxomon @ Dec 4 2020, 03:22 PM) Which further justify Sialcom... It’s postpaid. You use the service and they bill you later. That is the reason why there is one last bill after you have ported out and this kind of practice isn’t unique to Celcom. If you are using postpaid service, it is the same with Maxis and Digi too. I switch out from Digi, Maxis post paid 2 to 3 times each. Everytime they either let me through with no further oustanding or ask me clear outstanding before authorizing the port. Go one time with Sialcom and this happens. No wonder MCMC fine these people like hell. When you port-out, the outstanding you may see is from your last statement date, which from date of issue, you have up to one month to clear the bill before they bar your line. You could have used the service for a few more days or even weeks after the last statement was generated. That is why there is still one statement you need to clear after you have ported out. |

QUOTE(tympg @ Dec 4 2020, 07:33 PM) Celcom didn't used to pro-rate the last bill (whole month cycle charged) and there was uncertainty as to how much the final bill was going to be. And they never bothered to reach out to the customer who had just left them to inform the individual whether there was outstanding charges or credit. Oh yes. It is true that Celcom doesn’t calculate the last bill on pro-rata basis. I however, do not know if thing has changed since because last time I had a Celcom postpaid was in 2016.So not the same as other telcos. However, Maxis and Digi don’t put much effort in reaching out to you either. I was blacklisted by Maxis once after I failed to pay RM12+ for a line I terminated two month earlier last time. The terminated line was registered as a mainline under different account number and in their record, they had my main line (a Digi line) on file and my primary Maxis line was active (well, still active now too). Despite having registered for eBill, for some reason, I never received the bill and nobody called me either. I only found out when I tried to register a new supplementary line for my still active Maxis mainline. So since then, I put a reminder on my phone to follow-up the last bill myself to prevent myself from getting blacklisted unnecessarily again. So in the end, they are the same. That you have one last bill you have to follow-up yourself because it’s a postpaid service. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Dec 4 2020, 08:25 PM isr25 liked this post

QUOTE(TopUpStores @ Dec 6 2020, 09:46 PM) Hi guys, Does that number originally belong to Celcom ? Just to ask for some advise. I have a number (Already MNP from celcom to Maxis) which accidentally terminated due to forgot top up before the termination date. Last few weeks I visit to the celcom blue cube centre and the staff said that the number will be quarantine for 6 months. but I realise someone is using the number now. (Less than 1 month) this is celcom fault? since the staff said the number will be quarantine for 6 months? Celcom releases terminated numbers back to the general pool much quicker than Maxis and Digi. In the case of Maxis, sometimes it takes more than a year for a terminated number to be released for new registration again. I found out a terminated number of mine with Celcom prefix - 019 (it was with Digi when the number was terminated) is active again just about 2 months later. |

QUOTE(kit2 @ Mar 9 2021, 05:17 PM) i logged into celcom ocs today and surprised to see that a prepaid number that i forgot to reload many years ago is still appearing. does this mean i can still recover the number and credit balance? You can try calling that number first to check if it's in service. If it's not, then may be you can call Celcom to check if it's been recycled to a Xpax simpack or Celcom still has it as an unregistered number that Celcom may at its absolute discretion allows you to register it as a new postpaid number.![]() |
