Hello ALL SIFU, I would like to inquiry about TP-LINK DECO HC4 (as same as M4) technical issue
1. During 2020 to 2022 before February 22, I'm using TP-LINK C1200 router on UNIFI service, no need to setup any advanced setting to active VO-WIFI, just plug and play whenever the PPPOE successfully login. 2021 September I have purchased 1 pair of DECO HC4 for extend WIFI coverage to all my house, I connect HC4 using LAN cable from C1200 and no any type in PPPOE or else details, just following DECO App instruction plug and play During on that period , my phone automatic have VO-WIFI function (My phone was Samsung Galaxy A72 & using DiGi) After 2022 February 22, I've join to MAXIS Fiber, MAXIS fiber given a router of Huawei LG8245X6,as same as I mention on UNIFI, all the wireless connection was connect to HC4 (Huawei LG8245X6 connect LAN cable to HC4), Used 4 days, I still didn't get the VO-WIFI function on my DECO HC4 when phone was wireless connected to router, I think was MAXIS provided Huawei LG8245X6 does not support VO-WIFI function, instead I take my MAXIS FIBER PPPOE account and passcode to set on DECO HC4, But still don't have seeing VO-WIFI active, Also I've checked on the DECO App, I 'didn't find any advance setting section to active/ de-active the VO-WIFI function. Is that MAXIS FIBER didn't have VO-WIFI function? OR Is that MAXIS FIBER has VO-WIFI which I need to request Customer Service to active? OR Is that MAXIS FIBER provided Huawei LG8245X6 router I need to login into router system for finding VO-WIFI function? OR Is that DECO HC4 doesn't have VO-WIFI function? 2. When I using UNIFI , my connection doesn't have IPV6, after joined on MAXIS FIBER, Finally have IPV6 only at Huawei LG8245X6, DECO HC4 are not detected whenever changed to follow PPPOE, still not detected. Did I forgot to setup something or just DECO HC4 didn't have that IPV6 function to support MAXIS FIBER? Here is the explanation if SIFU not understanding my WIRELESS connection. UNIFI PERIOD * NO IPV6, HAVE VO-WIFI * HUAWEI ONU - TP LINK C1200 ROUTER (1 YEAR 7 MONTHS) HUAWEI ONU - TP LINK C1200 ROUTER - DECO HC4 ROUTER (7 MONTHS) MAXIS PERIOD HUAWEI ONU - HUAWEI LG8245X6 - DECO HC4 ROUTER (4 DAYS) * HAVE IPV6, NO VO-WIFI * HUAWEI ONU - DECO HC4 ROUTER (1 DAYS) * NO IPV6 & VO-WIFI * |

Hi folks, would like to kindly inquire about Deco HC4 - Does the HC4 support wired ethernet backhaul? I understand that TP-Link seems to designate the HC4 as the replacement for M4 and the M4 does support ethernet backhaul so would like to confirm if it's the same for HC4.
Thank you very much! |

The biggest problem with powerline is the poor wiring quality in Malaysia. They also suffer a significant performance loss when used with three phase power.Means they never reveal this information. No wonder I only get 12% of my internet speed for my 900sf condo. Some inferior power adapter, surge protector system will cause interference with powerline signal as well. The best powerline I tested can only perform around 200Mbps. Any decent mesh WiFi system will outperform that easily. kamil129 liked this post

Yes, I urged TPlink to let me return as they never reveal the 25% disclaimer on the box but put bigger word on 1300 intra-net.Some inferior power adapter, surge protector system will cause interference with powerline signal as well. Hey guys! Anyone not getting deco notifications for connections of unknown new devices recently? I didn’t get for a few days but today seems to show again all the new devices that connect Is the a tplink server downtime or a security issue ya? kamil129 liked this post

Hi Sifus, my current setup is Ax73 (Ground floor) with Unifi 800 Mbps. I could get almost full coverage on 2nd floor with speed around 150 Mbps on average.
Is it advisable to setup OneMesh with RE605X (2nd floor)? Could I bump the speed to average 300 Mbps on 2nd floor? If I setup OneMash would it cut the bandwidth into half since AX73 doesn't have Tri band as backhaul? Tqtq |

Hi all gurus here, I am using UniFi biz 800Mbps with 5 Public IPs Can you recommend any TP-Link ADSL modem router that support 5 fixed IPs? (ie support IP Unnumbered or Dual LAN) Currently using TM UniFi Az-tech router but performance very poor Thinking of changing to a better ADSL modem router Thanks in advance kamil129 liked this post

Hi guys,
I'm going to renovate my house and was looking around for best wifi coverage for entire house. I found this on taobao and it seems like a good solution. Connect Termination Port to BTU, BTU to TL-R499GPM, then connect each of the access point panel via Ethernet cable (PoE) Can anyone confirm that can work in Malaysia? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
