Bought a TP-Link Deco X60 AX3000 WiFi-6 (3-pack) Claims to be able to cover up to 7k sqft

TIME 1Gbps plan
Condo 5000 sqft, 2 floors
iPhone 12 Pro Max test device
Main device at 1st floor (connected to modem)
2nd device at 1st floor living hall
3rd device at 2nd floor living hall
Only using wireless (no Ethernet backhaul)

Router room: 650mbps
Living hall (1st floor): 400Mbps
My bedroom(second floor above router room): 300mpbs
Bedroom (second floor farthest from any device): 150mpbs
*didnt state other rooms but speeds are comparable**

Conclusion: Wifi speeds aren’t the greatest, even in the optimal condition (right next to main router). only reaching 60-65% of my plan. BUT the connectivity is stable (doesn’t reconnect due to only having a single SSID) and the range is great as advertised (I’m having 3 bars in every location in the condo). Lastly, it’s super easy to setup the mesh system with the Deco app.

Overall, I am pretty happy about my home WiFi right now. It is definitely an upgrade from the free mesh devices provided by TIME (which gave me headache all the time, max speed reach 300-400 only and extremely unstable)

For those who wants the best speeds should go for ASUS or netgear orbi but definitely more pricy!

Is the claim correct? 7K sq ft? Is your 5k sq ft all covered by 3 units?

TP-Link AX50 HomeCare's Malicious Content Filter is still running and blocking sites even after it is "disabled".

When Zenwifi XT8 Duo and X60 Trio new to the market last year, I considered XT8 (RM1.8k) is better than X60 (Rm1.9k) even only come with just two unit because of its third band 4x4 which is good for backhaul and more LAN port compared to X60.
*
Yes, XT8 would be the better/next choice, only thing that held me back was that its only 2 units, and its more expensive.

How to tell if the link between my Archer c1200 to the Huawei NTE is at 1000 or 100 Mbps?
I have a 100 Mbps package an always get ~90 Mbps speedtest to a wired desktop. The desktop link is 1000 Mbps

Hello,

I have 2 units of deco x20, the main one is connected to the router by a LAN cable and the slave one is on a mesh WiFi.
My questions is how to setup IPTV on the main node? at the advanced tab under IPTV/VLAN i have try custom and bridge mode but still no luck. In custom mode i only put IPTV VLAN ID and IPTV VLAN Priority and leave the Internet VLAN uncheck/blank and still no signal on my IPTV. If i change the mode to Malaysia-TM Unifi the internet went down. Anyone got any suggestion?

Thanks.

Try to set profile to custom and then
Internet VLAN ID 500
Internet VLAN priority ZERO

This is my setting and the i connect to Ethernet hub x 4 to expand my ethernet.

Time to mass change all ethernet cable for your home now tongue.gif

Just changed mine all to Ugreen Cat7/8 mixture although it feels like overkill but price cheap, why not biggrin.gif

My setup is:

TM Modem > Deco X20 Main node > TP-link SOHO switch > Ethernet output to other devices such as IPTV, Consoles, TV, STB.

Deco X20 Main node using wireless backhaul to slave

Hi all! I've just encountered something and hope sifus here can advice.
Hardware:
1) Tp-Link AX20 (5GHz, Channel 149, 80MHz width)
2) DLink Dir868l (5GHz, Channel 149, 80MHz width)
3) Samsung Galaxy S7

When I connect to the AX20, I get a link speed of 433Mbps, however when I connect to the 868L, I can get a link speed of 867Mbps. Why does this happen?

Today 1st day using Deco M5.
Found one of the unit having weak wifi signal.
It could not connect to mesh network with error saying distance too far but it's only 3 to 4 feet away.
When I switch it become main router, speed test is getting less than 100mbps for my 300mbps package.
Using the other 2 units is getting full 300mbps speed.
Is there way to boost the wifi signal or unit is defect?

Currently using archer c6, but wifi signal a bit weak at certain location. Can I add 2 deco unit that will act as an satellite unit? Can the mesh wifi work? (Will be using gigabit ethernet backhaul that connect the c6 to the deco unit)
