mine is the same too. once i reboot the router, it will detect my router as a local device (connected via Wifi). Then i tried login but it says something about unstable connection. Then the local device will show as "Unknown Device" and login wont be allow until you reboot and power refresh the router. Is there a way to rollback firmware?

If this is Deco Mesh means cannot even set up the router already.....hahaha

just need the advise on my new RE650, configured as an wired AP from the main router (dir-882, gigabit LAN), once i connected to this RE650 via wifi on my note 8, signal strength and wifi data link is 866mbps (5ghz band), but when i did the unifi speed test to TM server (or singtel), only get 200mbps (unifi package 300mbps). CH width set to 80mhz, and channel set to auto. when i swap to my RE450 and connected to his wifi, i easily get 280 - 310mbps on the speed test on my note 8 (channel width also 80Mhz and channel set to auto). so, my LAN cat5e connection is fine in this case right? just now i update my RE650 firmware to the latest one (RE650(US)_V1_180719), do the speed test and even worst, get 90mbps only. could it be the defect item that the shop gave to me?

I can say the Deco app is like miles better like it seems like maintained by another team.

Your CAT5E should be fine but is there a way to check the port speed in the RE650?

i saw on my packaging, got RE650(AS) thus compatibles with the new firmware after i check on the global TP link website, btw later i have a try to flash back with the stock firmware either i have a luck or not.

Bos, i have read all and fundamental concept to get maximum speed in wireless is to use 5Ghz router. Problem with 5Ghz mode is the distance. Majority said that router that have 5Ghz with strength can cover atleast 70% double storey house is C3150. Any other brand (ASUS, TENDA, D-LINK) that have same specification like C3150?

Sorry, forget to inform that my internet package is UNIFI TURBO 500 Mbps. Any router that have strong coverage in 5Ghz for package 500Mbps.

For TP-LINK AC3150, try to buy online but its hard to get from local. Means that majority from oversea. Is it ok to buy from oversea? Afraid that have problem with firmware.

I suggest waiting for the AC3150. It is out of stock at the moment, but will be coming back soon. Don't buy the overseas product as it is quite expensive, and you are not sure if it is v2. You would want v2, not v1. Alternatively, you can try getting the DIR-882.

i have a problem with my pie wireless. im using t9e. everytime i start my computer, t9e didnt detect and show that i have wireless connection adapter issue or no wireless detected. im using win10 x64. my old tl-wn321g didnt have this issue at all before
