Totally haram due to incomplete removal/reduction.

Not to mention the fact that youve bought the cooking wine in the first place, which is intoxicating by itself.

QUOTE(BerusGigi @ Apr 29 2017, 04:57 AM)
If you do learn science than you should know after 0.5 hour cooking, about 35% of the alcohol retained, and 25% of the alcohol retained even after 1 hour cooking.

The tapai with 5% alcohol content is halal but beer which has about the same alcohol content as tapai is haram. So who's to say what makes some alcohol-containing food halal while some others haram? I stop caring and just eat and drink whatever I want.

Naah. Tapai is definitely haram. Rokok also should be haram.
But like youve said, it doesnt mean shit.
Ignorance is bliss. Semua sarahan yahuudi and luminadi.

JAKIM's fatwa said tapai is halal tho I can't understand the reasoning they provided.

sos: http://www.e-fatwa.gov.my/sites/default/fi...i_alkohol_0.pdf

What does "alkohol itu bukan dihasilkan dari proses pembuatan arak" means? does they refer to fermentation process or what? And somehow I feel the fatwa on alcohol they provided in here is based on their discussion, not covered anywhere in hadith or quran.

So yeah ignorance is bliss, just consume what you feel like consuming

That is what happens when lawmakers dont have science degree.
Proses buat tapai tu sama je macam buat arak.
And it doesnt matter how the alcohol was made, the effect is the same on the body if consumed, intoxication.

If its a matter of amount, then cooking with alcohol shouldnt be haram. Drinking alcohol just a bit shouldnt be haram.

Fatwa my ass.

You liberals are really proud that you don't follow the rules, especially when you get pujian and respect from kafirs. Religion is just a meaningless label that shows people where to bury you when you die. Meaning of Islam is to submit. The goal is acquire Allah's acceptance, not other humans.

Cooking wine certified as non-halal. But I use it anyway in my cooking as similiar reason as yours. We do learn science at school, should be no more alcoholic substance left as it evaporated over heat.
*
Perhaps you should science harder. Hydrogen bond of ethanol and water is strong, it's not that easily evaporated and removed from solution.

Do what you want TS, but just remember, stuff that can cause inebriation are haram, in small or large amount. Misleading people on stuff you give others to people is just dishonest and wrong. In developed countries you can even be sued for that.

Pretty sure Haram... Some might say halal bcause the heat dissipates the alcohol... But....its the fact that an ingredient that was created to make people drunk was used.

Tapai pulut, ubi,.... Natto halal.... Because even though alcohol is present... The food it self was created not to make people drunk... Unlike beer... Which people create to make themselves drunk.

Just use substitute... Vinegar ada... Kenapa nk guna wine?.... Bajet high class chef.... Ptui....

So you're saying that vinegar is an acceptable substitute for wine. Can you explain your thought process that reaches for that conclusion?

Not going to comment on the tapai and stuff. Those are gray area. And you know how Islam is with gray area.
